22 oz bottle shared with the group in December 2012. Pours a slightly hazy brown color with a medium sized beige head. The aroma and flavor had sweet caramel, toffee, some milk chocolate, dark fruits especially on the flavor, Belgian candi sugar. I thought this was sweet, but very good in my opinion.

Thanks to Exiled for sharing this bottle. The beer pours a dark brown color with a tan head. The aroma is full of chocolate, dark fruit and roasted malt. The chocolate is nearly overwhelming and really melds well with the dark fruit notes from the quadrupel. The flavor is more of the same. The chocolate tastes like malted milk balls, with some roasted malt and a little bit of raisins and figs mixed in. Thick mouthfeel and medium mouthfeel. Definitely a chocolate-heavy beer that somewhat surprisingly mixed well well with a traditional Belgian quad.

22oz bottle pours an opaque, mahogany brown with some creamy, white head. Nose is straight chocolate, brewers licorice, some rye malt maybe, Hershey’s syrup. Flavor is 100% milk chocolate, light vanilla, Hershey syrup, dark chocolate, some crystal malt. Full bodied, chocolatey finish. Delivers exactly what it promises.

Bottle: The aroma consists of chocolate, dark fruits, grapes, light banana, and a hint of alcohol. It pours a dark brown with some faint orange highlights and a small beige head. The flavor starts with a quick dose of milk chocolate/chocolate syrup. It finishes with a pretty big sugary fruitiness and light-moderate candi sugar. It’s medium bodied with mild carbonation. Overall, the sugary sweetness is a bit too much for my liking.
