This wonderful wheat is slightly sweet and spicy from the coriander and candied orange peels that are part of this traditional Belgium recipe. Simply delicious served with a slice of lemon.

Refrigerated 12 oz. brown bottle from seymour poured into a weizen glass. Pours hazy pale golden with small white head. Thin small bubble lacing, medium body, smooth texture, medium carbonation, and light citrus aroma. Taste is citrus, light spicy yeast, hint of pepper, and some coriander. Pretty good.

Bottle. Is what it claims...Belgian wheat. The coriander and orange are fine, but the wheat bit isnít as strong as Iíd like...little watery and has a strange tart flavor. I donít mind it, reminds me of an unsweetened apple cider, but the tartness sticks out and if you like that or not I guess might alter your opinion on this one. I like it, recommend it for the price. Could do with a bit more punch. 4.5% abv.

22oz bomber poured into a shaker. Pours a slightly cloudy orange with about 2 fingers of fizzy white head. Aroma of orange citrus and some baking spices. Taste is light sweet. Orange citrus and coriander. Light bodied with a thin texture. Fizzy carbonation and not much of a finish. Overall, itís ok, but not great. There are better witbiers out there but for 4 bucks a bottle, try it if you find it.

Tasted from 12oz bottle into nucleated pint glass. Appearance, aroma and flavor were all true-to-style Belgian Wit. Mellow wheat mouthfeel, citrus, coriander, faint clove, very fizzy, a little bready, tart, crisp and refreshing. Compared to classic examples, this one was a little less chalky and more acidic, better head retention from the oats. Not much, but a hint of Berliner Weiss sourness. Good stuff. Iíll definitely buy this again.

Seymour sent me two beers from St. Genevieve, Iím guessing he had no idea that my daughterís name is Genevieve, sort of awesome.

Pours a hazy golden color with a very small (almost no) head even after an aggressive pour.

The aroma has a really excellent orange and floral expression. The beer smells a bit on the sweet side but itís really pungent and nice smelling none the less.

The flavor is again very orange forward, but itís nicely tart and not overly sweet. There is a good spicy bit with some coriander and light cinnamon.

The mouth feel of the beer is painfully watery and just too under-carbonated, I think this would be a gem of a witbier if they could figure out how to get some bubbles in there.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Colonial Wine and Spirits, 3/28/12

Aroma: The nose has a lot of wheat malts with a good bit of spice and some yeast
Appearance: It pours a slightly unclear yellow color with a small foam of white head
Flavor: The taste has some mid-plus sweetness, with a little spice, and a later light tartness
Palate: The body is light-medium, it is not watery at all, with a soft carbonation, and a cleanish mouthfeel
Overall Impression: Overall, this one isnít a bad offering at all. Everything didnít work perfectly, but I found it to be plenty good enough, and it had some interesting components as well.
