This wonderful wheat is slightly sweet and spicy from the coriander and candied orange peels that are part of this traditional Belgium recipe. Simply delicious served with a slice of lemon.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with a small wispy white head over a hazed yellow body. Aroma is strong, if not over done coriander, fennel, honey, plastic and air-freshener. Taste is wheat, wet hay, spices, coriander, citrus and water. Lively carbonation and dryish mouthfeel.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours a hazy straw yellow with fizzy white head. Aroma of strong orange & coriander. Flavor has a light taste, some coriander, orange, some wheat. Mouthfeel is light & watery, high carbonation. Overall, it is a light, refreshing beer for summer.....not bad.

Tasted 8/9/08. 22oz bomber. First pour, golden hue, slight sediment. Sparse ring of white head. Bright citrus nose. Nuances of Oranges and lemons. Melon and a slight pepper undertone. Medium bodied and very drinkable. Crisp wheats. Bright citrus blast. Slightly toasty. Moderate effervescence. Touch candy sugar. Lingering and slightly bitter finish. The fruity hops blend seamlessly with the citrus yeasty character. Spicy note from the coriander. Second pour holds more sediment and a thicker head. And a brighter yeast estery flavor. Solid! This is a definite bright spot for the local StL scene.

22oz bottle: Sunny orange pour with a finger thick, whipped white head. The nose is full of orange sweetness and jumps right out of the glass. The sweetness dominates the body as well, leading into a drinkable, creamy body. This thing is loaded with coriander and candied orange, as well as lots of esthery banana, vanilla and lemon. The wheaty body is a great way to deliver the complexities. Very drinkable and a nice example of a style that often becomes soggy with adjuncts.

Bomber. The body is bright gold with lots of haze. A large slightly off white head compliments the deep yellow body. The aroma is orange popsicles and a little bit of corriander. The taste is light orange peels with the corriander lightly behind that. It is one of the stronger orange flavored wits I have tried and itís a godo thing in this case. The finish is dry and crisp, but leaves a little bit of abc gum. Nicely made and it exceeded my expectations.

Really bad picture on the bottle. Unfiltered and somewhat "dirty" looking with a small quickly dissipating head. Aroma is crisp and full of those wonderful what notes. Fruit and coriander are prominent. Flavor is full of coriander and lemon. A hint of orange can be found. There is a mild earthy bitterness. A nice wheat beer but this "hefe-head" hoped for a bit more.

Pours orange with an uneven off-white head. The aroma has smooth wheat, diacetyl, plastic fruit and light coriander. Medium mushy body with some understated carbonation. The flavor starts with coriander, overt mustiness and the aroma attributes. The finish has a lot of mineral traits and is lightly metallic. I like to support local breweries, but this beer just didnít seem very good to me. Hopefully I can get something else from the brewery that changes my current view.

Pour is a cloudy orange with a large white head. Aroma is a stunning coriander and candi sugar. Flavor is not as stong but again lots of corriander and lemon peel with a nice mix of candi sugar and a nice wheat backbone. 22oz bottle named half wit wheat. I might want to take the drive down to st. gen to check this place out.
