COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hoptimistic IPA(India pale ale) has intense hop bitterness and flavor. This ale is further characterized by fruity, floral and citrus-like aromas due to American-variety hops. This copper/orange hued ale has a nicely balanced medium maltiness which contributes to a medium body that goes down easy, leaving a lingering bitterness that is hard to resist.

12 oz bottle pours hazy amber with a off white head. Aroma of malt and pine, it’s just real subtle. Taste is malt and bitter pine.

A average IPA. Not certain it delivers the hop bitterness as advertised. Color is hazy / coppery. Aroma give hint of hops. Taste is predominantly malty but gives way to the hops. Finish was malty. Left me wanting of more hoppy bitterness.

Tasted from 12oz brown bottle into a nonic glass. It poured a orangish-amber colour with weak white foam, very little lace. Aromas and flavors of American-C hops: grapefruit, pine resin, citrus rind. Beyond tart, in fact so bitter it verged on astringent. Too hoppy to be pleasant, in my opinion. Can’t tell much about the malt or yeast underneath. Medium body, low carbonation, long-lasting bitter aftertaste. Not bad, per se, but it tasted pretty much like every other high-IBU American IPA from the last several years.

This is a pretty disappointing IPA. You can always find something better than this. I want it to be better because its local to me but it isn’t very good. Almost no hop flavor or aroma. Blend of hops that you can’t tell anything specific. Bitterness is there but thats about all. Over carbonated in a six pack. Had on tap once before too and it was pretty much the same.

12oz bottle. Thick bubbly head, laces well, burnt orange hazy color, nice. Aroma is pretty good, appetizing, floral & hoppy. Taste is a little harsh for me, finish leaves something to be desired. Medium-body, lacks the silky taste I like so much in other IPAs. Just OK.

Rock on, Summer Santa! Bright orange pour, slightly oily look but still well carbonated, almost overwhelmingly so to start. Nose big and fruity and sweet, like hop-dosed Orange Crush almost. Worked well for me mid-cookout at JCB manor, with a floral sweetness backed up by serious hop extract bitterness. Not the most coherent IPA, I suppose, but solid and enjoyable.

Pale copper with a thin white head. Fruity aroma with bitter hop undertones. Crisp hop bitterness with flavors of orange and apricot.

Bottle. Hazy golden color, small white head. Aroma of pure pine needles. Taste is bitter pine resin. OK.

Bottle. Aroma of water and hops. Very mellow aroma, you can get the scent but it seems halfway done. The mouthfeel is watery as wel, but the flavors are nicely done within that. Slightly bitter, mostly bland, not a terrible beer but I’d definitely say that it leaves a lot to be desired. 6.5% abv.
