Hoptimistic IPA(India pale ale) has intense hop bitterness and flavor. This ale is further characterized by fruity, floral and citrus-like aromas due to American-variety hops. This copper/orange hued ale has a nicely balanced medium maltiness which contributes to a medium body that goes down easy, leaving a lingering bitterness that is hard to resist.

This is a pretty disappointing IPA. You can always find something better than this. I want it to be better because its local to me but it isn’t very good. Almost no hop flavor or aroma. Blend of hops that you can’t tell anything specific. Bitterness is there but thats about all. Over carbonated in a six pack. Had on tap once before too and it was pretty much the same.

An okay IPA. Decently balanced and not overwhelmingly bitter. Has some citrus qualities and a mildly resinous finish.

Out of the 12 oz bottle. The aroma is of citrus with a tad bit of funk. The taste is a hazy rotten orange with notes of lemon. The after taste is funky too. Just a run of the mill IPA, nothing stands out about it.

Bomber. Pours light golden brown with a big nearly white head. Aroma is peach, white bread, a touch of lemon. Fairly sweet up front with some peach, floral and a slight plasticy off flavor. Grapefruit peel bitter in the finish.

12oz bottle picked up from Lukas Liquors in Missouri during my stay for RBSG. Newer label with an oval on it. Mostly clear orange color. Thin off-white head, leaves good ridges of lace. Nice big resiny hop aroma. Grapefruit citrus, light pine. Very light caramel malt, more toasty. Moderate, kind of bigger bitter taste. Light to moderate sweet balance. Medium-plus body, lightly slick. Smooth, crisp lighter carbonation. Very easy to drink, much more so than expected. Buying an IPA with no date on it is like Russian Roulette, but this was extra-solid.

Bottle from RGSG share table. Hazed orange pour with clinging off white head and lace. Aroma is light bready malt and almost no hop aroma. Sweet bready malt start with a touch of floral bitter hops on the end. An ok pale ale but lacks the hop kick for the IPA tag. No off flavors just not what you expect from an IPA. Medium bodied with good carbonation.

On tap @ Bailey’s Range. An orange pour with a white head. This is an IPA? Okay... Sweet apple, bread, and caramel. A bit of melon and lots of peach. Quite estery. Nothing much different on the palate. Sweet malt, sugar, and esters. Fair amount of peach and melon. Sweet bread and caramel malt all the way through. Very light citrus peel hop notes. Minimal bitterness.

On tap at Bailey’s Range during RBSG. Pours a golden color with white head. Big hoppy, grassy, piney flavors. Relatively minimal aroma. Alright.

On tap @ Baileys. Pours a bit hazy golden orange appearance with a white head. Slight candy, pineapple, grapefruit, caramel aroma. Kind of goopy and overly bitter. Caramel sugary, dull citrusy flavor. Eh.
