COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hoptimistic IPA(India pale ale) has intense hop bitterness and flavor. This ale is further characterized by fruity, floral and citrus-like aromas due to American-variety hops. This copper/orange hued ale has a nicely balanced medium maltiness which contributes to a medium body that goes down easy, leaving a lingering bitterness that is hard to resist.

This is a pretty disappointing IPA. You can always find something better than this. I want it to be better because its local to me but it isnít very good. Almost no hop flavor or aroma. Blend of hops that you canít tell anything specific. Bitterness is there but thats about all. Over carbonated in a six pack. Had on tap once before too and it was pretty much the same.

Serving: draft Look: pours golden color, small head disappears to webs Smell: citrus flavors, lemons Taste: grapefruit, lemon Feel: light crisp feel. Heavy carbonation Overall: not bad, has a heavy bitter after taste. Not as smooth as other hip heavy beers First drank: March 20, 2014

The color is a cloudy orange with a large white head, and the aroma blends citrus and resin hops with a hint of light malts. The taste is mildly bitter and a touch sour, and the palate fuses a soft carbonation, medium body, slightly thick texture, and a bitter finish.

ContemplateBeer (1432) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - JAN 10, 2014
Aroma: Light tangerine with a little floral, catty note here and there, but itís all really faint. Probably the lightest scented IPA iíve come across. Malts are non-descript cereal. Appearance: Very hazy copper with a bubbly off-white head. Flavor: So-so citrus and floral flavors up front; actually gets pretty bitingly bitter and medicinal towards the finish. Palate: Medium body, sticky texture, soft carbonation, very bitter finish. Overall: Rather unpleasant stuff.

Drank this out of the bottle at Flanerys in the STL. I thought it was undrinkable. So yucky.

Draught at the Baileyís Range, St Louis, MO.
Cloudy amber colour with a tiny white head. Strong hoppy aroma with resin, strong bitterness and farmyard. Yummy! The flavour is much more sophisticated. Sweet malt, caramel, strong dark hops and moderate bitterness. Tasty it is anyway. Very balanced. And tasty.

Lots and lots of hops. Golden color. Smells better than it tastes for sure. Not too overpowering. Quite flowery smell as well as taste.

Strong bittering hops donít overwhelm flavor consisting of resin and a touch of herbaceous expression. Cloudy but not completely opaque. Color is a honey
