Strawberry season reminds us that summer is almost here. This sexy blonde ale would not be complete without the seductive essence of strawberries. Balanced and refreshing, this blonde is sure to please!

The aroma is reminiscent of strawberry wafers and yeast, and the appearance is a clear golden color with a small white head. The taste is an awkward blend of a slight sourness and a touch of sweetness, and the palate fuses a finish that is full of strawberry flavor, a medium body, slick texture, and a soft carbonation.

Tasted from a 12oz brown bottle into a schooner glass. It poured an odd pinkish-hued golden colour with long-lasting white foam and a little lace. Profoundly strong strawberry aromas and flavours. Extreme, not balanced at all, but that’s obviously what they’re going for, because their Box of Chocolates and other flavoured beers are the same way. They are very proud of using natural strawberries, but it seems no matter how you extract the essence and dissolve it in an alcohol solution like this, it ends up seeming like a plastic Strawberry Shortcake doll. Not horrible, but not my kinda thing.

Bottle. Berry soda aroma. The taste starts off with a strawberry flavor that sort of rests between enjoyable and medicinal...and wraps up with the taste of grass clippings and grain. Finishes crisp and clean. Could be a session beer, and overall is pretty taste minus being a bit thin and weak. 4.5% alcohol.

12oz bottle 7/20/13 (Judicious Spirits-Mtn. Home)-40° in Hurricane Glass-Pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma of strawberry. Taste of strawberry, grains, and cough syrup. This light bodied brew is not bad but the back end is a little syrupy.

This 22 oz bottle was courtesy of Strykzone. It poured a slightly hazy gold color with a moderate white head and light lacing. The nose was caramel malts and strawberry. Light in body and clean in the mouth. The flavor is a good balance of malts and fruit. This was a true thirst quenching day that would good well on a summer day.

Had a pint at the brewpub. It poured mostly clear golden with a nice white head. The nose was pleasant strawberry. That was also featured in the taste. The sweet berries made for a thirst quenching beer. Gentle pale malt and some grain rounded out the profile. A nice summer time beer.

It poured a light to nearly medium golden color, with some cloudiness and a moderate white head. The aroma was at first subtle notes of strawberries, along with some pilsner- (or perhaps American 2-row) derived graininess. The taste was a nice combination of the fruit and the central characteristics of an American blonde ale; showing fruit up front, followed by a mellow note of malt and a clean, finish. Overall, the beer did a decent job of retaining "beer-like" characteristics.

22 oz. bottle that Keir got for me from the brewery- thanks, Keir! They should have this on shelves up in St. Louis. Pours a clear gold color with a finger of white head that dissipates into a thin lasting head with small bubbles. Good strawberries on the initial aroma, very sweet and fruity, and it tapers off as it warms, bringing out some pale malts, dust, and mineral notes. The flavor doesn’t have quite the same kick- strawberries, minerals, pale malts, straw- becomes more mineral as it opens up more. Light-bodied, with a dry mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Actually better than most strawberry beers I’ve had.
