Pours a dark brown with a big frothy off white head. Aroma is brown sugar, malt and yeast. Taste is sweet but very malty with some ash and brown sugar. A little too sweet for me but a solid beer.

Bottle, ty Colin and Kendra (and shared with them for once)! Murky brown pour, small white head. Dusty malty aroma. Taste is not bad, malty sweet, alcohol. Really dry, somewhat fruity in finish. Just ok.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 probstblueribbon (1967) - Nepean, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 21, 2011
750 ml bottle from Broue Ha Ha, served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass. 05NO11.
App.: Clear deep mahogany with a large deep tan head.
Aroma: Yeast, acidity, hints of funk, some dark malts and dark dried fruits cowering in the background, slightly buttery, bright fruitiness, earthy coriander, slightly spicy, a little alcohol, a bit herbal, light esters and toasted wheat, a bit messy and confused.
Palate: Medium body, full, velvety effervescence.
Flav.: Some nice brown sugar and toffee, lots of toasted wheat, yeast, earthy coriander, dirty, orange peel, not great; lightly sweet with a little puckering tartness and limited bitterness, the finish has brown sugar and toasted grains, slightly messy.
Surprisingly disappointing for a Charlevoix product. Drain pour.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Boutip (3459) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 16, 2011
Bottle: Poured a deep brown color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and good lacing. Aroma consists of spicy undertones with semi-sweet Belgian malt base and light candi sugar. Taste is also a great mix between some sweet Belgian malt notes with a spicy yeast strain and some light dry fruits notes. Body is quite full with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Not re-inventing the wheel with this offering though very well executed for the style and very enjoyable.

Bouteille 750ml.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Eructoblaster (2122) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 26, 2011
Bottle - 750ml. Cloudy brown body with an average, lasting beige frothy head. Decent malty/hoppy aroma with brown sugar, yeasty and grainy hints. Alcohol is relatively well hidden. Taste is dominated by hoppy flavors, it also carries grainy, woody, and some sour fruits notes. Ends with a strong bitter/grainy finish. Decent product, but does not worth the 14$ I paid for this sample.
