A 750 ml. bottle shared with Quevillon. The color is dark brown with a beige head. The taste is of malt and sweetfruits like orange and dried cherries. There is also a note of spicies. All this combined makes it a great strong belgium beer and another near perfect beer from Charlevoix.

Bouteille 750ml (2007).

A dark brown ale with a thick brown moka head. Beautiful to see. In aroma, sweet caramel with loads of orange peels, vanilla and hops. Fragrants is the word. In mouth, a very sweet syrupy ale with cloves, cinnamon, treacle, and sustained hops bitterness, tingly spicyness. Rich and smooth in mouth. Roasted notes in finale. Wonderful. Bought at Jovi, Gatineau, 12.99$.

Sample from wetherel’s (looked that one up now) bottle at RBSG; Nose of flowers, fruitiness, caramel, and ginger; clear amber with a small beige head; flavor of dark fruit, brown sugar, and caramel. Guess I was the only one still rating when this one was opened!

750, capped. Thanks, Dany! Slightly hazy dark brown with ruby highlights. Thick, dense, creamy tan head with wooly sheets of lace. Huge raw fresh black licorice nose, along with some piquant funk much higher in the bouquet. Currants and other dark tree fruits under that. Rich, creamy body with delectably blended dark fruits, brown sugar, menthol, and other heavy dark flavors swirling around. Pretty astonishingly inventive stuff. Lovely.

750ml bottle. Thanks to Dickonsonbeer for sharing. Poured a copper color with amber hues and a white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of ginger, yeasty, and quite a bit spicy. Tastes is spiced, full of ginger, with dark fruits, caramel malts, nuts, and finishes nicely. This really enjoyed this one.
