Very fruity, yeasty aroma extremely attractive, you have to be careful on the pour, monsterous rocky head,so highly charged it literally bites the tongue, top notch fruity ,spicey malt and yeast flavors, alcohol a comfortable companion, some bitterness in the finish,as good a Belgian as Iíve ever had, would be rated higher if not for that carbonic bite. Thanks Kingpin, and thanks Glouplouburp for trading it to him

Bottle shared by moejuck: Pours a hazy gold with a big fluffy white head. Aroma, yeasty, bready notes, spices, some light fruits. Flavor, bready, highly carbonated, spices, light fruits, peppery, some slight floral hop notes. Pretty tasty, stuff. For something that resembled a triple, which usually isnít a favorite style of mine, I really liked this one.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle shared by moejuck, thanks Joe! Poured a hazy yellow with a bubbly/frothy white head. Aroma of grassy/floral hops, spice, yeast, pale malt. Flavors of floral hops, yeast, corriander, light grass and fruits. Light/medium body, pretty well carbonated...a tad too much for me, spicy/floral with a malty/spicy finish. Pretty good beer, but when compared to some of this catch-all styleís compatriots, it just doesnít measure up for me.

Thanks moejuck: This has a very fresh sweet lemon-citrus and spice aroma to it. Effervescent and clean, this finishes with a black pepper that very much compliments the fruity-floralness of this beer. It is nearly perfectly balanced.

Bottle shared by moejuck, thanks! Pours a hazy golden straw color with a meaty white head that lingers. Aroma is floral hops, citrus, pale malts. Flavor is floral, spicy hops, light malts, pepper. Palate is medium bodied, medium plus on the carbonation, finished clean and refreshing. Very good.

Thanks to <a href=http://www.ratebeer.com/ViewUser.asp?UserID=2 for the drink. Iím glad that you enjoyed your visit in my neighborhood.
Pours a slightly hazed golden body with a billowing head and much lacing. Has a slightly funked yeasty aroma, plenty sweet, with floral notes and lively spicing. Peppery on the tongue. And thatís in the flavor, too, along with a sharp hop presence, biscuity malt, honey, more spices... all blended with what the nose took in initially. Didnít notice the strong alcohol content at all. A very good drink. Thanks, Dany.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
First off, a major thanks to glouglouburp for sending this rarity to the U.S. from Montreal. I opened this one with wetherel and Sean at the PP Bottle Shop with a few other new faces. Massive head formation upon pouring, ending up in a fluffy pillow head with substantial lacing. Bountiful carbonation throughout the clean and clear golden color. Pretty impressive aroma that I considered as this beerís best display of character. Lots of coriander, fresh orange peel and yeasty biscuit tones. Also a touch of funkiness that almost suggests this is a Brettanomyces beer, but I assume its the unique contribution from Saaz hops used. The flavor is very floral; with juniper and lavender that transitions to a strong bitter finish, like a Saison on steroids. Tingly and smooth palate with a doughy undertone. Overall, damn good for the style, like Chouffe Houblon, but I canít say its my favorite...or worthy of the Top 50 either.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Tried from the funky bottle that hapjydeuce brought to the bottle shop. Lots of carbonation on first pour with a 2 finger white foamy head that fades at a medium rate. Yellow color. Lots of bubbles climbing the glass inside the liquid. Phenolic Belgian triple aroma, Iím not sure from what. Possibly a combination of yeast and high brewing temperature. My first guess was the beer was finished with Brett. It has a nice plastic Brett aroma and it has high carbonation, meaning the Brett had eaten some complex sugars after bottling. You can notice the Saaz hops too, even though they are not overwhelming. Easy to drink. Hereís a beer for the "Orval should be a top 50 beer" fans. Iím not one of those people. Itís just a good triple to me.
