4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Classy bottle, a name referential to the Christian god and able to hide it’s alcohol with more alacrity and artistry than the town drunk? I’m in! Hazy pale yellow with a gigantic and frothy white crown of thorns. A wondrous stench of hay, floral hops, honey, grass, basement and yeast. It has a lightly sweet and somewhat vinous taste to it as well as a soft carbonated body that ends with a crisp wheat finish.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Definitely the most quaffable Belgian strong ale I have had, not overpowering at all. Poured a straw colour with a big frothy head that stuck around. Aroma was of tropical fruit, floral hops, grass. Tasted fruity with honey and floral hops, also had a nice sweetness to it. Had a medium body that was highly carbonated with a tingly feel. Plus it hides its booze levels like a champ. Impressed with this brew.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Hazy golden with a thick white foam. Aroma is complex, spice, citrus, pears, lemon, alcohol, cereal notes, herbal. Taste is mainly sweet with a litte bitter and tart aftertaste. Aftertaste is long and has a little annoying thing. Body is round and slick, with a nice, lively carbonation. A great one from this serie!

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
pours an amber-brown with thin head. hop aroma. highly hopped, but bitterness is balanced. Some Belgian yeast on the tongue. However, alcohol finish is overly pronounced significantly diminishing the flavour profile.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a slightly hazy gold with a massive three fingers of fizzy white head, gradually settling down and leaving behind heavy lacing. Nose is Belgian yeast, banana, caramel, slight piney and citrus hops. Taste follows suit with grapefruit, pine, and pepper. Mouth feel is medium bodied, with a lingering bitter finish.
Wow - another amazing beer out of Quebec. Apparently they’re not satisfied with cornering the market on strippers and poutine, now they’ve got to out-Belgium the Belgians! This is pure Belgian all the way - brilliant yeasty nose and minimal sweetness on the tongue. I’d’ve liked a little more clove phenol character, but this is world class regardless.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Very nice, smooth but full bodied. Hops are not overpowering like many other similar beers. The name is a fitting match considering the quality.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle thanks to MesandSim, sterling work for the beer cause as ever. Slightly hazy gold with a thin to medium white head. Aroma is fairly subtle but it’s all there! You get a sniff of the strength which I like, hardly noticeable in the flavour. Just hugely drinkable and tasty. Peach, pear, great mouthfeel. Cake. Lemons. Sweetness is bang on. Never had anything from this brewery before, this really is a great beer.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a hazy golden with loads of fizzy white head. Aroma is initially belgian yeast, fruity, caramel, slight pine. As it warms though some of those citrus hops come through. Taste is nice, sweet and sticky, hoppy but certainly not that hoppy. Enjoyable.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
