(750mL bottle from the LCBO) Pours a clear yellow-gold with a big fluffy white head, leaving a fair bit of lace. Aroma has floral hops, white grapes, citrus peel, a little sweet pale malt, some pepper and yeast. Flavour has a strong hop component, citrus and leafy with some sweet fruit and candy sugar as well, a bit of herbal note, some pepper, bready Belgian yeast. Finishes pretty herbal and hoppy for a Belgian strong, quite dry throughout for the style. Fine effervescent carbonation, alcohol very well hidden, delicious beer which is a balanced, tasty hybrid of classic old world with new world hops.

Bière blonde de 10 % d’alcool. Elle possède un odorat floral et fruité. Elle est très mousseuse et très sucré. Elle est amère et possède un goût prenant en bouche. Elle a également un goût citronné. Elle a évidemment un goût prononcé en alcool, mais elle est quand même très bonne.

Pours a clear pale yellow with a huge fine off-white head. Aroma is floral hops and white grape, with a little grapefruit pith bitterness, yeast, light spice and just a tiny hint of caramel. Very effervescent with a light body. The taste is slightly sweet with bread and slight caramel malts and Belgian yeast with spice and lots of citrus (grapefruit) and herbal hops coming through for a pleasantly bitter finish.

Beer courtesy of Tommy. Classify this as a Belgian DIPA. Really hop forward with tons of citrus and floral hop notes with nice Belgian yeast characteristics that bring in a bready doughy element with light fruit esters. Great beer.

Clear yellow with a massive white head. Aroma is peppercorn, grape skins, grapefruit. Bitter on the palate with a hint of sweetness in the background, somewhat dry finish. Taste is grape skins, grass, grapefruit, green peppercorns.

[bottle] Pineapple, pine, and grapefruit pith aroma with some sweet malt and faint peppery phenolics. Pouring initially results in a clear yellow gold with a huge, eternal, rocky, off-white to tan head. Sweet and peppery phenolic flavour with a perfect balance of hops bitterness and prickly carbonation to the sweetness. Complex flavour contains white grape, grapefruit peel, and pineapple. Light to medium-light body, high to very high carbonation, tangy white grape finish together with a moderate bitterness.

Le liquide est blond claire avec une bonne effervescence.Le col est très épais,majestueux ,on dirait de la meringue et sa dentelle colle aux parois de mon verre.Le nez est des plus invitant,herbeux,chanvré,floral.Au goût,une entré en douceur sucré suivi par une amertume juste et franche qui est attendu vu ses 70 de ibu.Sa me rappel la triple de dominus.L’alcool est très bien dissimulé a travers les sucres et les houblons.

UPDATED: MAR 26, 2013 750 ml bottle Pours a hazy gold with huge pillowy head. Aromas of Belgian yeast, coriander, ginger, light toffee, and citrus. Flavors of malt, bananas, coriander, pineapple, lemons, and a touch of spruce. Warm, smooth. and full. Excellent.

Bruce’s Birthday Bash at the Craft Clerkenwell. Thanks to Paul for this bottle. Hazy gold beer with a big pale cream coloured head. Light airy palate. Slightly soft and dry. Very sweet lactose, touch of caramel. Very mild hop fruits. Finishes light and dry. Curiously drinkable and so light and sweet.
