Rogueone (270), I F&ckin’ hate those guys from, Ohio, USA May 7, 2008 Thanks moejuck: This has a very fresh sweet lemon-citrus and spice aroma to it. Effervescent and clean, this finishes with a black pepper that very much compliments the fruity-floralness of this beer. It is nearly perfectly balanced.
Miver (269), WillowStreet, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 4, 2008 750ml bottle dated 2007. Poured slightly cloudy gold in color with a MASSIVE foamy white head that left very nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is very floral, fruity, with a little lemongrass. Taste is spicy, floral, with a little banana with a nice hop finish. Thanks to Dickinsonbeer for sharing this one. egajdzis (2864), Terrapin, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 28, 2008 Poured a hazy golden color with a large, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of floral hops, orange peel, pine, a bit of toasted dough, citrus fruits, light ginger, and other seemingly Belgian spices. Taste of pine, orange peel, citrus fruits, simcoe, white pepper, a bit of grass, and a bitter, finish with some alcohol in there as well. Thanks Paul! Dickinsonbeer (2457), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA Jun 28, 2008 Thanks to Glouglouburp for hooking me up. Pours a nice bright hazy gold/straw yellow with a massive sticky white head similar to houblon. Aroma is spicy phenolics and borders being awesome, and slightly offensive- mixes quite well with the massive ammounts of american and european hops which mask some of the yeasty phenolics. Doughy rich malty flavor - tons of pils malts, light nuttiness, and great hop character, fruity, citrus, tons of earth and herbal hops, light grapefruit, and perfect balance in the mouthfeel. One of the very few beers in this new "style" that actually turned out great. Houblon, and Xtra Gold batch 2 are the only beers that can compare to this. hopdog (4346), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 27, 2008 Updated: Jun 28, 2008750ml bottle shared courtesy of dickinsonbeer. Poured a medium and hazy golden color with a very large sized white head. Aromas of floralness, spices, fruity, citrus, and grassy. Tastes of pears, apples, citrus, spices, floral and grassy. Lacing left on the glass. TomDecapolis (2311), Collegeville, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 26, 2008 Thanks to dickinsonbeer for sharing this one. Pours a hazy golden with a large foamy white head that left all kinds of sticky lacing...pour this one carefully. Aroma of sweet orange, pepper, lots of spicy notes, bready, floral, light ginger...really nice hoppy meets belgian ale aroma. Flavor was bready, a bunch of mixed spices, pepper, Belgian yeast esters, hop flavor, floral and citrus, the Saaz seems to be coming through more in the flavor. Well done.
