3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
750ml bottle from Monde des Bières.
Appearance : Clear yellow with rocky white foamy head. Long head retention. Lots of lacing.
Aroma : Lots of saison yeast. Slightly rustic. Crisp floral noble hops. Light fruity notes. Chewy malts. Yeast signature is very present.
Taste : Noble hops with light citrusy notes. Quite yeasty with moderate spices. Finish slightly bitter with noble hops aroma and lots of yeast. Persistent yeast notes accompanied by the hops bitterness.
Palate : Carbonation is rather generous but not aggressive.
Overall : Very nice offering. Very elegant balance between the saison yeast and the noble hops. The yeasty notes could be tuned down a bit. Very drinkable and very refreshing. Reminds me a little bit of the Lupulus... but not as good.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
750 mL bottle. Bit of a gush when opened. Golden with a big, beautiful, white head. The head quickly fades to a small, sticky lump. The aroma is middling in strength, and quite earthy, with that typical Belgian note in the background. Flavour is fairly typical at first, but it finishes dry and bitter. (For the style). Nice.

Thanks northropfrye for sharing. Pours a hazy yellow with tonnes of whipped cream like head. Sweet candy and pastry aromas. Flavours are sweet and citrus at first. Then hoppy and medicinal at the end. Nice stuff.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
750ml bottle – decants a straw-gold hazed ale in the glass with a frothy white 2 finger cap. Heavy effervescence – be careful how you pour this or you’ll put half of it on the floor in foam. Aroma is both floral and fruity with a touch of earthiness. Spritzy fruity character with a decent pale malt spine and sharp hopping. Flavour is pale malt core with a very hoppy and lightly bitter override – clean, sharp on the palate, short lean finish. Very refreshing and satisfying at the same time.
