Packman (6), Montreal, Quebec, Canada does not count Nov 3, 2007 Great beer. Overall nice. I would call it a winter beer, heavy on the stomach. Nice alcool ratio doesn’t taste too much. MartinT (4241), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Aug 3, 2007 My Bottom Line:
The spicy, wooden hoppiness of this golden Belgian Ale has a tight relationship with crunchy cereals, leading to a pleasant herbal hop finish. Citrus and pear fruitiness increases drinkability, and that subtle Belgian yeastiness gives it even more complexity.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A big-bubbled head of foam dwindles into the hazy blonde.
-Very drinkable at 7%, this would make a fine "house blond" offering too.
-The finish is pretty much what the nose had announced.
-Balanced, gentle, and never boring, this is a Belgian-style session beer which I hope to have more often!
Bottle. red éric (1379), montréal, Quebec, Canada Jul 4, 2007 500ml bottle, slight hazy blonde hue, with a frothy white head, yeasty, fruity nose of stewed apples, pears, with a hint of spicy vanilla, some sweet pale malts, a subtle wet hay accent, and a nice spicy aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a spritzy, citrusy, yeasty character, with a sweet pale malt note, a faint vanilla spiciness, a fruity accent of pears and peaches, hint of wet hay, with a good carbonation, leading towards a warmth, hop bitterness finish. beerbuzzmontreal (2674), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Nov 5, 2005 Pours a cloudy golden color with strange entities floating in it and a huge frothy white head. Interesting aroma of spices, yeast and fruits. Flavor of spices, yeast, caramel and fruits. The body is light with a dusty, powdery mouthfeel and soft carbonation.
