ontap at Brouhaha, slight hazy honey gold hue, with a small white head, yeasty, fruity, spicy nose of coriander, with a peppery peachy, apricot ester, and some light toasted, pale malt, and a metallic hint in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a yeasty, metallic, mineral, soapy, watery character. with a light fruity orangeish,. tangerine peel flavour, and some pale, toasted honey accents, leading towards a watery, warming, fruity, lingering hop bitterness finish.

Cloudy pale amber pour with a medium white head. Interesting aroma of citrusy, floral hops and spices. Good flavor of spices with citrusy, floral hops and mild bitterness. The body is light to medium with a creamy texture and medium carbonation. Very interesting.

On tap at Vices et Versa. The color is amber with a beige head. The aroma is of sweet fruits and hops. The taste is also of hops fruits and spicies. There is a dryness to it that is very pleasing.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Glouglouburp (4781) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 27, 2008
In short: A smooth, round, earthy and citrusy Saison-ish Belgian golden ale.
How: Tap at Brouhaha
The look: Clear dark golden body topped by a small but persistent beige head
In long: Nose of peat and/or walking in a wet forest. This is a very round and pillowy beer, nothing crisp or sharp here. Thick citrusy mash, kind of chewy, earthy tree branches, a little moist feeling. Malt profile has an overall sensation of wet croutons. A little too sweet for its own good. Neither wild nor rustic but it does have a light intangible Saison feeling nonetheless. Not highly drinkable, almost a sipper. This is a good brew but I prefer my Saisons a little more on the wilder and crisper side. Named “Autumn Dreamz” which up here in Quebec simply means “Spring”.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 MartinT (6350) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 17, 2008
My Bottom Line:
This diplomatic Belgian-style Ale relies on its deft balance of caramelized cereals and spicy, fruity hoppiness before a gripping hop bitterness clinches each sip.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam tops the misty amber.
-The many bubbles are quite prickly.
-The body is lean and geared towards drinkability.
-The flavor profile is a tad too clean for my tastes in the style.
-The finishing hop bitterness is long and pleasant, but not necessarily balanced out by residual sugars.
On tap at the brewpub.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 MJGG (782) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 13, 2008
