Tasted at the Oktoberfest des Québécois 2011, on September 11. Coppery orange, thin head. Sweet aroma of currant, some notes of barley. Sweet malty taste with currants, not very bitter but slightly acidic. Not great but well done!

On tap at brewpub. Color is pale, clear amber with a distinct orange veil. Head is pinkish, that is quite interesting. Tastes of berries, has an obvious acid finish. Very enjoyable, would be great on a hot Summer day.

On tap at Ninkasi. Strange pinkish red pour with white head. Aroma is quite strange and off-putting, lots of rotten vegetables and diacetyl, only later can you actually get a whiff of the currants. I can’t get over the buttery diacetyl flavor, slight tart flavor too, no fruitiness to speak of. Awful.

A reddish amber ale with a thin white head. In aroma, a strange berry with lots of diacetyl, light mineral notes and Hall’s drops. In mouth, a sweet fruity malt with loads of diacetyl, light acidity over sweet background, a bit light and simple, dissapointed. On tap at Brouhaha, Nov. 4 2011.

En fût Oktorberfest des Québécois. 6%. Couleur ambrée-orange. Arôme de malt et fruits rouge. En bouche petite amertume en raison du fruit, un peu acide, un peu de fruits. Bonne !
