Pours a clear copper color with a thin white head. Pleasant aroma of hops, yeast and fruits. Good flavor of fruits, hops and yeast. The body is light with a creamy texture and moderate carbonation. This is a well-done, enjoyable, belgian ale.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 jerc (5588) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 10, 2010
2010-03-08. Dark amber body with a large foamy beige head. Floral lightly spicy aroma, mild malty base. 7+ Flavour is similar, modest spice throughout, touch of lemon in the finish grows in the aftertaste and then dissipates. Moderate bitterness. 7+ Average palate is smooth and pleasantly carbonated. Pretty interesting, enjoyable. On tap at Brasseurs du Temps, Gatineau

On tap at Les Brasseurs du Temps (Gatineau, QC). Hazy amber body topped with a decent off-white creamy head. Nice, fresh malty/hoppy aroma with floral and herbal hints. Its sharp hoppy taste carries floral and grapefruit notes. Ends with a good bitter finish. Enjoyable.

Rich golden-amber in colour with a lasting off-white head, excellent lacing.
Aroma is quite floral with some spice and a moderate sweetness.
Flavour is very herbal, floral, caramel sweetness, quite bitter, some yeast.
Bitter mouthfeel, medium body, moderate carbonation.
Finishes quite bitter, long and herbal.
A very floral and herbal Saison, not the best from Charlevoix but still pretty enjoyable.

On tap at Brouhaha. The color is amber with a very thick off white head and a lot of lace. The aroma is of malt. The taste also of malt and caramel and the sweetness of fruits. Very pleasant in the mouth and a good aftertaste.

Draught. Mondiale 2009 - day 3. Clear amber with a creamy off-white diminishing head. Aroma of sweet caramel, mild cool-weather spices, heather and that lushly sweet Belgian-style yeast. The taste was quite sharp, slightly funky-sourish, pungently yeasty, with the sweet caramel malt pushed back a bit - it almost hinted at a mild flemish sour, with added grassy spiciness. Decent body, slightly astringent from the spiciness, pretty sharp carbonation, and a nice long yeasty-spicy finish, I put that down to the champagne yeast, it sure kept the mouthfeel rolling around nicely.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Lubiere (6988) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 16, 2009
A golden amber ale with a thick off white head. A pleasnt sweet banana puree, with cinnamon, maple and ginger. In mouth, a nice sweet malt with maple notes, coriander, woody notes and warming alcohol. Impressing. On tap at Mondiale 2009.

Tap at Vices et Versa. Pale amber beer. Thick sticky white head. The aroma is lovely. A very bright spiciness and a touch of herbal notes. There is a light fruitiness. Very lean, dry body with a dry spicy finish. A kiss of apricot and peach, but it is on the light side. Soft hoppiness on the back. Pretty solid really.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Glouglouburp (4781) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 25, 2009
In short: A clean, slightly spicy and moderately toasted Belgian ale with a little je-ne-sais-quoi. Good
How: Tap at Brouhaha, Montreal
The look: Clear copper body topped by a long-lasting small off-white head
In long: A yeasty nose is citrus undertones. A little spicy. Some burnt grass. Some crisp caramel, fresh grass, citrus juice. Clean and refreshing. Fizzy carbonation I’m not sure what role the champagne yeast plays here but there a little “something” about this beer that cannot put into words. Good but not very good. Not an original brew but certainly doesn’t feel common either. One of the too-many pints I had at Brouhaha first anniversary party. But the way I see it, if God is truly watching us, the least I can do is be entertaining.
