3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Quevillon (2012) - Sainte-Thérèse, - AUG 22, 2011
Drank on tap (12 oz) at Bière au Menu in Bois-des-Filion (Quebec), on August 21, 2011. Clear blonde, small head. Aroma of swee cerealt, pale malt. Taste slightly sweet dry grain, slightly malty with notes vegetable, aftertaste of bitter alcohol. Very interesting, a beer version of a cereal hard liqueur!
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Eructoblaster (2122) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 29, 2012
On tap at BDT (Gatineau, Qc). Hazy blond body with a fair white foamy head. Fresh malty/hoppy aroma with grainy, herbal, and citrusy hints. Taste is slightly dominated by hoppy flavors. It carries herbal and coriander notes. Alcohol is very well hidden. Ends with a decent bitter/herbal finish. Enjoyable Saison.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 MJGG (782) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 22, 2011
Bof.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Glouglouburp (4781) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 7, 2011
In short: A basic fruity and semi-rustic blonde Saison. Good simple thirst beer
How: Tap at Vices & Versa, Montreal. Simply called “Charlevoix Saison”, I’m assuming it is the same beer as “Charlevoix Saison Multigrains”
The look: Cloudy dark blonde body topped by a long-lasting small white head leaving good lacings on the glass
In long: Nose is a bit rustic but mostly it is mostly typical fruity blonde Belgian ale fruity esters. Taste has pineapples, bananas, wheat sensation, light rustic yeast presence, a light spiciness. Finish is semi-dry. A simple and easy to drink beer that I could drink day after day after day. And can my beer drinking be technically considered an addition if I don’t want to quit?
4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 JulienHuxley (1149) - Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 22, 2011
Pint on draft @ Ninkasi. Copper colored pour with nice white head. Aroma of distinct saison yeast, slight maltiness, very grainy, rye? and pepper. Taste is quite rustic, lots of grain, very yeasty in a traditional belgian way, I taste a lot of rye in this beer, not sure if I’m right. Palate is full bodied, robust, with lively carbonation and a lasting dry yeasty finish. An excellent darker saison, that is just the way a saison should be IMO.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Boutip (3458) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 8, 2011
Draft: Poured a slightly hazy beige color ale with a medium foamy head with god retention and some light lacing. Aroma consists of light bready malt with nice notes of peppery yeast. Taste is a nice combination between some bready malt with good rustic notes and a nice peppery yeast finish. Body is about full with good carbonation and with no apparent alcohol. Very interesting and something I would wish to try again in a better setting.

A lightly hazed saison with a thin white head. In aroma, spiced up, pepper, coriander, curacao, frankincense, well done. In mouth, a nice sweet malt with spiced notes, ash, cream corn, pepper, a bit strange but good. On tap at Festibiere de Gatineau, May 28 2011.
