500ml bottle pours a pale amber color with a 2 finger off-white head that retains well and leaves some nice thick lacing on the glass. Aroma is grapefruit and toasty malts. Taste is citrusy hops balanced nicely with light caramel malty sweetness. Medium bodied and nicely carbonated. Seems Amarillo hops are becoming one of my favorites. A tasty high quality brew.

Bouteille 500 ml. 9%. Une de mes première expérience avec la Vache Folle...quelle surprise ! Malt, citrus, caramel, amertume. Excellente beer.

Backlog - May 13, 2010. 500ml bottle shared by blankboy with me and garthicus. Clear refractive amber with a long-lasting frothy beige head. Slightly sweet and very juicy aroma balanced by dry floral and mild citrus zest bitterness - no alcohol presence at all for 9% I LOVED the taste - pungent, bitter, catty - just enough sweet juicy malt to keep it in check, the alcohol comes through in the taste, but this mix of acidic cattiness, light sweet malt and moderate booziness pushes all my buttons. Average body, a bit sticky on the palate, light but lively carbonation, and a nice long pungent bitter linger - lovely hop presence, yay for Canadian brewers discovering hopssssezz!!

Bottle. Pours a hazed amber with a nice sticky head. Aroma is ok citrusy hops, catty, pinetree, grapefruit, mineral, mango, toast, and light caramel. Flavor is toffee, caramel, med sweetness, ok medium fresh citrusy hops, light tropical notes, some grass, then med bitterness. Ok- better than the other single hop versions which seemed more stale and cheesy than this one.

An orange amber IPA with a thick lacing off white head. In aroma, pinhey hops with loads of berry notes, light caramel malt, nice. In mouth, a smooth DIPA with fruity and grapefruity esters, a bit of a thin body, but overall quite nice.

Bottle. Pours a hazy copper body with an off white head. Nice fruit toned body from the hops. Citrus, light honeydew notes. A modest caramel malt bill maybe not the freshest when served. Still probably one of the best DIPAs i’ve had from the North.

Written review from March 2010 which I forgot to upload. I really enjoyed this beer. Amarillo and Cascade are my two favourite hop varieties, so this beer was a favourite of mine. Frothy white pour with a bright golden orange body. The aroma is mildly sweet hops with a hint of high alcohol but pretty mild overall. The taste however is home to a multitude of subtle nuances. Firstly, the hops impart a pretty intense bitterness (guessing 65 IBUS) with a bit of spicy yeastiness and tons of floral notes. Very enjoyable beer which I will try over and over again.

500mL bottle sent from Glouglouburp, pours a cloudy golden orange with a white head. Very fruity nose with peach, orange, mango and citrus, with hops of course. Flavour is what you’d expect - a mix of the above-mentioned fruits, quite a sweet caramel character and citrusy hops. Slightly spicy finish. Great IIPA.
