3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
500ml bottle, bottled 12/01/2010. Pours a clear amber, frothy large bubbly head. Still has a nice sweet hoppy aroma, some citrus, although muted from when fresh. Well balanced bitterness with some sweetness, the bitterness just keeps on going - quite tasty but would like a little more hops. Overall though quite happy that I was able to get this one close to home - interested in seeing what is next in line of the limited releases, and also how this ages.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours deep clear amber into a tulip. White head with good retention recedes leaving spot lacing. Grapefruit aromas. Dark caramel and roasted nuts upfront turning to sweet resin in the lasting finish.

(Rating #3530)

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A good beer, but not fantastic. The pour is bright orange golden body with a thin yellow head. Aroma of sweet floral hops, grass, toasty malts and alcohol. The taste is sweet and resinous. A very sweet finish with a hint of alcohol.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bière brune extra-forte de 9 % d’alcool. Elle possède un goût légèrement amère. Forte rafraîchissante, un léger goût céréalier. Je ne suis pas un adepte d’IPA habituellement, mais celle-ci, je l’ai bien aimé.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured out a large off white foamy cap that left some spots stuck to the glass above the crystal clear amber brew. Big ass citrus aroma - sweet and succulent, caramel, peaches, lemon grass (??=crack cocaine addiction), some herb, penguin retinas. Digging the flavour as it seems for ever since I’ve had an IPA and, yea, I was craving one. Smooth and tasty, the bitterness weasels its way through the rich qualities of the caramel, lemon, orange, strong herbal contingency and somewhat grassiness. I wish there was more here as it does come across simple but the point here isn’t to make some wildly complex concoction. Ample carbonation and maybe more. Sharp, tangy citrus and smackable bitterness finishes me off and the burp that just slipped out was foamy and tasted like warm burpy stuff. Plenty of malts and enough forward flavours that I really like make this not only a tasty beer but a super drinkable one. A total rich man bender choice. To the point and now I’m tipsy like some lush chick who just chugged back 2 entire coolers. Panty party!!!!!!!

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle with some hot wings. Amber with a full fluffy lasting head. Light hoppy scent held captive under the foam or overpowered by the wings. Full bodied. Lightly woody with some sharp citrus which sinks in between the teeth. Seems less malt heavy than the last couple of Vache Folle DIPAs.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pour see through orange thick off white head with decent lacing. Aroma of orange peel citrus fruit and sweet malt. Taste overly sweet, citrus, orange rind, pine and caramel. MF was thin very light carb with bitter finish. Mediocre I’ll stick to US DIPA’s.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle, purchased on the day it arrived, to ensure freshness. Pours electric orange; very thin white head, lacing is spotty to poor. Nose is tea, spicy hops, light grapefruit and pepper. Sticky caramel and toffee pudding come through from the malt. Flavours are almost sherried, with the almonds and caramel leading, instead of the hops. Bitterness is correct, but apart from some light grapefruit, a distinct lack of hop character in the mouth. Disappointing.

2.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pours orange with a spotty head. Beautiful aroma. Via ry hopy love it. Flavour is Nice but its not great. Floral but the bitterness is not there. To malty not a fantstic ipa. Tastes good but it is just as unimpressive as the rest of la vache folles other single hop ipas.
