4.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20 JoeGuil (7) - Quebec, CANADA - DEC 22, 2010 does not count
Hercules, Columbus........
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20 BLAP (73) - Quebec, CANADA - OCT 16, 2011
Deep blond almost amber color. Strong aromas of citrus, herbs and a little of spruce. Heavy bitterness and sweetness.
4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 bedainedebiere (493) - Terrebonne, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 11, 2010
Bottle. Crazyest cow ever, rather unfruity and very leafy tongue-bruising hoppiness, that I came to love pretty much after a few bottles (not in the same day...). Salty mouthfeel and a powerful bitterness are well-balanced by a very honey-like sweetness. Impressive lenght and strenght of the aftertaste. It seems to have an autoritarian german military personnality, compared to the Amarillo that reminds of tropical smooth-rhythm paradisiac carrabean islands... Nevertheless, they are both very good.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Eructoblaster (2122) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 27, 2010
Bottle - 500ml. Pours a nice, hazy amber body with a thick, lasting white foamy head. Well balanced malty/hoppy aroma with coriander, herbal, and fruity (grapefruit) hints. Alcohol is very well hidden, Its sharp hoppy taste carries malty, herbal, and some citrusy notes. It ends with a long, warming bitter/herbal finish. Another excellent beer from Charlevoix.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 manuchampions (1163) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 9, 2010
Bottle courtesy of, and split with McBerko. Pours an orange gold with decent off white head. Loads of grapefruit and orange rind in the nose. Taste of caramel malt and very well integrated hop punch. Floral, citrus, alcohol well worked. Better than it’s current average.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 DuffMan (4425) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 30, 2010
Bottle. Pours a bronzey orange with a thick golden meringue of a head that leaves heavy lace. Aroma is very sweet, like golden syrup on lightly toasted white bread, with undertones of cooked veggies. Palate is syrupy sticky. Flavours are sweet and slightly bready before being overtaken by the coniferous hoppy bitter finish. As with other brews in this series, the malty sweetness may put some people off, but once again I really love this unique IIPA. Terrific!

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20 Narnad (1147) - Wonder Lake, Illinois, USA - SEP 21, 2010
Pours from a 500mL a deep orange color, clean and a very creamy, sticky white head. Aroma has a slight sour note to it early, light pine, modest grassy note with a late light caramel and grainy malt presence. Flavor is off the wall fantastic. Early notes are very smooth with a mild grassy presence early, touch of creamy caramel sweetness and light lactose which then traverses into a mild piny/resin presence that is neither overpowering nor faint but allows it to meld with the other flavors in the beer. Flavor finishes with a noticeable bitterness that lasts for a while after the tasting. Body is mod/heavy in density with a very creamy texture with low carbonation aiding the overall palate. Overall a fantastic beer! Flavor truly melds a strong hop presence with a sweet malt backbone. The only knock on this brew would be that it has a bit too much of a lactose type sweetness. Would love to get this again.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Damico (1399) - Royersford, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 16, 2012
Aroma is light tangy sweet hops which I enjoy. It pours orange golden in color with a decent white head. The flavor has that German hop bitterness with sweet notes to help smooth out the palate. The body is medium and finished a bit syrupy with the hops and citrus notes settling well on the palate.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 mcberko (2470) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 6, 2010
500mL bottle, split with manuchampions, pours semi-hazy copper with a small white head. Aroma of resinous pine hops and big grapefruit. Flavour is quite fruity- grapefruit, orange and pineapple, and resinous hops on the finish. Quite the creamy palate. Delicious IIPA.
