A great light beige very foamy head tops a black opaque body. Head lasts. Smell dark roasted coffee with cream...almost like a café au lait but made with an expresso. Light hints of caramel. Taste floral hops, mocha and coffee. Creamy finish with some acidity. Nicely done.

Tap @ La Vache Folle. Nice touch getting a barrel on tap, well done. Very dark brown coloured with a medium sized beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate powder, coffee milk, bit of alcohol. Flavour is roasted malts, coffee milk, slightly sweet chocolate, a bit boozy. A bit thin bodied to really stand out, but nice one nonetheless.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Dark brown with a medium head. It has a very fruity aroma like it was a Belgian strong dark ale. A hybrid between a stout and a Dark Belgian. Why not. The taste is medium sweet and on the chocolate side. Dairy is well present. It’s a good one. Slightly different then a usual RIS or Milk Stout. Like I said ...why not.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Le Temps d’une Pinte, why did I order that?! Pours a dark brown with a small white head that leaves good lacing. Nose is of straight chocolate. Taste is fruity, almost like red fruits, roasted malt and lactose. Not too sweet and far from cloying, really. Body is medium-medium-full and carbonation moderate. OK, not as good as I remembered it being.

Bottle from the brewpub enjoyed two nights later in a beer wasteland.
Rich creamy smooth chocolate and roasty caramel with just a hint of sweetness. Nice beer!
