Oakes (7032), Miami Beach, Florida, USA May 9, 2008 Golden-amber colour. Woody, cascade hop nose is a touch faint. Earthy, woody bitterness, moderate maltiness (breadcrust) but it’s all a bit faint. Probably overattenuated. Quake1028 (628), Tampa, Florida, USA Mar 22, 2008 Thanks to Degarth for reminding me I had this one. Nose is muted hops, sweet grains, perfume/floral notes and some light caramel malt. Light orange/yellow in appearance with a smallish white head, no retention and only very drippy lacing. Light to medium bodied, stays away from watery. Flavor is metallic all the way through, masking any good flavors that might be there. I finished my whole sample, so that’s something, and besides the metallic notes, it has no glaring flaws. decaturstevo (1335), decatur, Tennessee, USA Feb 16, 2008 A gold pour with hints of amber. Light maltiness without much hops on the nose. Light carmelly mlat flavor with a very light hop finishing bitter. Thin and under carbonated even for me. Very average beer at best. Tastes like the first glass from a long stale line. I’m sure that is not it. Not a terrible beer but very average. mabel (1710), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jan 8, 2008 [903-20071204] Tap @ Charlie & Jake’s (Melbourne, FL). Aroma has a bit of orange zest hops. Hazy, brown orange body with a quick bubbly off-white head. Wheaty yeast and hoppy flower petals flavour has a bit of a weird bitter lemon finish. Medium body is bitter. Interesting to try, plus it just came out on this day. gunhaver (660), Tampa, Florida, USA Jun 18, 2007 Updated: Jun 5, 2008On tap. Golden ale with little head. Very fruity aromas in the nose, and the taste was pretty decent. Pretty hoppy. Has a "red" taste to it as well.
