Thanks to Degarth for reminding me I had this one. Nose is muted hops, sweet grains, perfume/floral notes and some light caramel malt. Light orange/yellow in appearance with a smallish white head, no retention and only very drippy lacing. Light to medium bodied, stays away from watery. Flavor is metallic all the way through, masking any good flavors that might be there. I finished my whole sample, so that’s something, and besides the metallic notes, it has no glaring flaws.

Unique flavor mix of pale ale with citrus flavors. Very light bitterness. Nice but not real remarkable.

RBWG 2010: 3/11/2010 @ the brew pub. Poured a clear amber color with a small white head. Decent aroma of citrus hops with some earthiness and mild orange notes. Citrus orange hop flavor with some pine. Hop forward and big. Well at least bigger than the malt. Long dry bitter finish. Light to medium bodied.

Tap. Unfiltered, hazy gold color. Aroma of lemon zest and citrus hops. Soapy flavor. Nice toasted grain flavors. Lots of hops. Pine and citrus. A bit stronger than the other brews of Charlie and Jake’s. I recommend this beer after trying all of the others. Finishes with a Cascade, soapy bubbles hop flavor.
