2.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Draught Very nice, equal grey-cream head over red-shot, near black beer. Butterscotch³, explosion of ultra-sweet, buttery aromas and liquorice. Smoked, liquorice, and butterscotch toffees, "Haagse hopjes" . Oh God, another brewer that cannot taste diacetyl. Und nein, ein Schwarzbier sollte BESTIMMT nicht so schmecken!!

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Draught at the brewpub. Dark brown colour. Big, but unstable light brown head. Slightly buttery aroma. The flavour is also buttery, but in a creamy way that makes it tolerable. From the appearance, I had hoped for a roasted malt note, but this is more of a weak sweet malty note.
