Cask Handpump at the Commercial, Mossley 30/05/2002 Golden amber coloured and slightly sweet. Malty hop finish.

Draught (nitro) at the Wellsway Inn, West Harptree.
Clear, orange-gold with a typically firm pad of white. Eggy, buttery nose. Oily slick and buttery on the tongue and extremely light in body. Completely still it filmed the mouth quickly (god I wish this was carbonated), and slipped down the back to reveal just a smidgen of grain. Nothing going for it, really should be scrapped as the bartender even mentioned that no-one will touch the bloody stuff. Woeful

Bottled at Radnor Arms, Kensington, London, England. The label said Toby Pale Ale, brewed in England for Coors. No brewery mentioned. 3.1%ABV. Amber coloured. Very metallic. Cardboard flavour. Slightly sweet and fruity with notes of raisins. Very thin.

Strange places sometimes force you into strange beers. This is an ancient keg bitter that is best left undiscovered. The road not taken is sometimes best. This has an initial sweetness and a restrained fizz. To be fair this is not that offensive.

Cask conditioned at The Wheatsheaf, Banbury. Flat amber, no head. Raw thin tinny beer, very little malt or hops, poor quality.

Keg, Rose's, Woolwich. Dreadful. Normal amber colour. Keg foam head. Harsh mouthfeel. A very watery beer with minimal flavour. This would be called a mild in the cask, but a light ale in the bottle, and would be used mainly for mixing, as in a shandy. Some metallic notes. Not enough hops to even give a cardboard flavour. Very poor.
