2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Their best beer, enjoyed on tap. Smoke, chocolate and bitter coffee. So some complexity. Tad of head. Woody at room temperature. Medium mouthfeel. Drying finish. Maybe a different carbonation would mnake a difference.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap @ Mr Goodbar, Bufalo NY. Poura a dark opaque black with khaki head. Aroma is roasty, slightly nutty, chocolate/cocoa. Medium bodied. Slight harsh bite to it but a pretty good porter espicially for a brewery in its infancy

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Growler shared by beastiefan2k (thanks, spicy butt!) - really pretty black pour, with a substantial, lasting lace - aroma of roasted malt, some lactose, mild vegetal qualities (that somehow work!), strong black coffee - the flavor is semi-dry and roasty, with notes of tobacco and espresso - a little bit of tartness and char on the end - a solid porter.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Growler shared by beastiefan2k. Pours very dark brown, not quite black, with a lovely brown head that lasted until mid-glass. Very pleasant aroma of roasted malt, mocha and hazelnuts. The flavor is equally nice with roasted malt, mocha and hazelnuts. Light bitterness at the finish seals the deal. This was our first beer of the evening and I enjoyed it very much - thanks, Eugene!
