3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
brick red. aroma of earth, must, oak, and a hint of cherry. fairly subtle with the fruit in the flavor too, at least for a fruit beer. not a traditional kriek, which could’ve been epic, but pretty good nonetheless. i’d have it again, but won’t go out of my way."

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
650ml bottle. Dark cherry in colour, long lasting off-white head, excellent lacing. Aroma is sharp, some light cherries, herbal, pale malts. Flavour is quite sweet, cherries and other dark fruits, nit much else. Sweet mouthfeel, medium/light body, moderate carbonation. Finishes sweet and fruity. Not as good as the other chatoe rogue beer I’ve had, just okay.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Old rating from 2012 - Pours hazy pale yellow with a small white head. Smell is a blend of fruity hops and malt sweetness. The taste is big citrus/tart fruit with a delayed dry and bitter aftertaste. Light in body and nicely carbonated. Pretty nice with an integrated taste.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
The bottle I have is very similar but with a green border not purple and it is called First Growth Single Malt Ale. Pours very clear light golden color with full head, mostly diminishing with excellent lacing. The aroma is a light hoppiness. The taste is light bitter, a touch sour. The body is creamy, light and the finish a light bitter. Not bad.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Pours with almost no head and just a bit of fizz. Dark red. Very light on the palate, this drinks with an almost cherry soda-like character. The cherry flavor is definitely up front, and there’s little off set it. Enjoyable enough, if that’s what you want. (#5242, 9/4/2013)

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
22oz bottle. Poured an amberish color with a smaller sized head. Cherries, toasty, grains, and some caramel. Cherries were there but not too strong.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
11/08/2010: Chatoe Rogue Creek Ale... Aroma: Just a touch of sour cherry and some caramel. Appearance: Murky brown color; thin off-white veil. Flavor: Moderately sweet with caramel malt and first, then subtle cherry and yeast with a sour bite in the finish. Palate: Medium-bodied; smooth. Overall: Good.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours dark ruby and garnet with cherry edges while a plum hued head slowly fades into a soft film with a thick collar that tries to crawl its way up and outside my glass. Swirls with a few spots.
Meaty moist whole cherries, pits included, for a wonderful mélange of sweet sour tannic nutty and rustic. Cherry muffins. More tartness on top of grape and plum skins. Whisper of pulped cherries in the back, stems and seeds and skins included. Delicate orange rind tendrils weave in and out of the cherry. Blackberry wine with a cherry chaser.
Medium to medium light weight with a borderline thin mouthfeel which works because it allows the explosion of cherry and plum flavors to dazzle the tastebuds. My tongue and cheeks tingle. Tannins in the back – cherry and plum skins, seeds, and stems. Cherry plum essence in the breath. Wine sacks. Dry mouth and dry breath. Tartness is milder than the nose implied which is a bit of a disappointment.
Not too shabby; I’d drink this beer from the Chatoe line again and, in fact, I already did. Rogue is a love-hate relationship with me but so far, the Chatoe Rogue line of beers has been all love, the Creek Ale included.

1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
A - Rusty brown body with an off-white head.
S - Tart cherries, brown sugar, raisins.
T - Acidic and tart cherries up front. Some burnt brown sugar, raisins, hints of caramel malt. Finishes semi dry. Aftertaste is like cherry NyQuil.
M - Moderate fizzy carbonation, thin body.
The tart cherry flavor is the only thing going for this beer. It just falls flat and halfway through I had no desire to continue.
