COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Formerly Chatoe Rogue First Growth Wet Hop Ale.
Created with hops from Rogueís micro hop farm in Independence, Oregon. Raw hops are picked, stuffed into burlap bags, driven immediately 77 miles to Newport, Oregon and pitched into the brew kettle.

Wet Hop Ale is made with Independence and Revolution hops, with a Pinot Envy Ale, a Dirtoir Ale, a Single Malt Ale, and an OREgasmic Ale to follow.

The brew will be on draft or in serigraphed 22 oz. bottles at the Independence Hop & Heritage Festival Sept. 25th and 26th in Independence, Oregon.

On tap at the brewpub in Newport. Hoppy with a light malty sweetness in the background. A touch of earthiness. Resiny. OK IPA finish. Good brew but I was hoping for more wet hops flavor.

not quite feelin the love on this one. a little too thick and sweet for a wet hop ipa especially. some dirt malt in there too which is not a favorite. a little bitterness and pine on the back end, but not enough to save it. premium price too."

I was able to try a bit of this at the Eugene Brew Pub. It was very very hoppy, and I mean the good kind of hoppy.

Pours a hazed orange light amber color with a lingering off-white head. Itís a little dark here in Small Bar in central San Diego, so forgive the appearance description if itís not entirely accurate. A lot of lacing around the edges of the glass appear as the beer is consumed. The bouquet is comprised of citrus and heavy cream. This flavor is difficult to describe. Sweet lemon esters. Everything blends well. The first few pulls yielded some harshness at the finish. I had some Stone PTSD. But, everything blended and got smoother as I worked my way through it. There might be some apricot in there. Midlle of the road. Maybe just a little north of that.

On tap at Fat Heads Pittsburgh. Pours a hazy orange with a thick white head. Aroma of caramel malt, biscuit, toffee, and light citrus. Flavor of caramel malts, toasted malts, bitter hops in the finish. Not a super hoppy wet hop, lots of malt presence here, but itís quite good. 7/4/7/4/14 (3.6/5)
