3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20Poured from a bomber into a pint glass. Dark amber, almost brown color. A good inch of dirty white head. Lots of bubbles. Not quite transparent.
Smell: Very fragrant. Sharp citrus and softer floral smells.
Moderate hop bitterness. The different flavors of the hops roll over my tongue in waves. The malt and hops battle it out at first with some nice sweetness followed by the bitterness... and then more hops. It is quite nice.
Going towards a softer feeling. Not as carbonated as all the bubbles suggested; moderate carbonation and body.
Very drinkable. I would have to concentrate but I think I can taste each of the five different hops as they flow across my tongue. Great use of the hops without going into the "hop bomb" mode.

Pours a hazed orange light amber color with a lingering off-white head. It’s a little dark here in Small Bar in central San Diego, so forgive the appearance description if it’s not entirely accurate. A lot of lacing around the edges of the glass appear as the beer is consumed. The bouquet is comprised of citrus and heavy cream. This flavor is difficult to describe. Sweet lemon esters. Everything blends well. The first few pulls yielded some harshness at the finish. I had some Stone PTSD. But, everything blended and got smoother as I worked my way through it. There might be some apricot in there. Midlle of the road. Maybe just a little north of that.

On tap at Fat Heads Pittsburgh. Pours a hazy orange with a thick white head. Aroma of caramel malt, biscuit, toffee, and light citrus. Flavor of caramel malts, toasted malts, bitter hops in the finish. Not a super hoppy wet hop, lots of malt presence here, but it’s quite good.

Bottle with Carla. Pours a slightly hazy gold with off-white foam. Smells sweet and lightly bitter with hints of grass and lemon. Tastes lightly sweet, very herbal with hints of lemon and plenty of bitterness.

This beer is fantastic. I love the fresh green hop aroma and flavor. I am not usually a fan of Rogue beers, but this shows that they can produce a winner. Great beer, for sure.

22oz bottle. Poured a dark orange with a large foamy white head that lingered and left great lacing. The aroma was earthiness, spicy hops and caramel. The flavor was sourish, astringent and made it quite hard to finish. Almost like a chemical cleaner was added. Probably up there with one of the worst wet hop brews I’ve had.

Sampled on 10/13/2012 at GABF. This India Pale Ale pours a slightly hazy medium yellow gold color from a 22oz bottle. Medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is herbal, fruity and sweet. A medium bodied India Pale Ale. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are herbal and citrusy. Nice carbonation. Nice lingering hop bitterness. All those Fresh hop flavors. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

On tap at The Hoppy Monk in El Paso, TX. Very bitter but didn’t have much substance to the flavors...not complex. I tried next to 2-3 other IPA’s and this one didn’t have the floral or general pine quality compared to the others. It was good, but not great.

10/29/12. On tap at Kickback’s. Hazy orange pour with a nice khaki head. There is some light caramel in the aroma with a bitter dose of pine and citrus. Nicely bitter, hoppy flavor again with citrus and pine. It dries the palate out for sure. Not bad, actually.

Love the aroma and appearance. The flavor is great and then dissipates into thin air...not a lasting flavor and I wish it was.
