Formerly Chatoe Rogue Good Chit Pilsner.
Good Chit Pilsner is made with Rogue Farm barley that we Floor-Malted in small batches. Floor Malting is an old fashioned, 8 day process that includes steeping, germination, raking, roasting, bagging and hands-on love 24 hours a day. "Chit" refers to the start of the rootlets that emerge from the embryo of the kernel once steeping is complete and germination begins.

Bomber pour to pilsener glass. Classic light yellow with big head and some carbonation. Sweet bready taste, but without a doughy aftertaste I notice in some pilseners. . Very drinkable, very enjoyable.

Good beer; not great, prob wouldnít buy another. But good beer. Iíve tried it a few times now. Not enough malt for my tastebuds. Prob fits the American Pilsner guidelines just fine though. To be simple, good clean beer, maybe I taste a little DMS; but hardly detectable. Clarity is on point, carbonation on point. I could us a little more malt flavor though. But I guess it isnít a Vienna or a Czech Pils...so what do I expect..

Poured from the tap into a pint glass. The appearance was a nice golden color with a medium sized white head. The aroma had a grass smell with bread and hops. The taste was mostly yeasty bread with hops. Overall, this was slightly better than average.

On draft at When Pigs Fly, Kittery, Maine. This hits all the trademarks of a good pilsner -- itís crisp, a little dry, and it has some of that bready, slightly pungent pilsner malt aroma. Excellent for the style.

Tap at Rogue Hall. Thin malty nose, noble hops. Very pale straw color. Sweet breads malty initial, decent hopping. The bitterness strings along through mid and final. Thin body. Good, but perhaps a touch too bitter for style.

From bomber. For a pils, itís not bad. Iím a little out of touch with pils, and I still prefer ales to lagers, but itís a palatable quaff. Thin with not much mouth feel, but decent aroma and finish. Great cloudy color.

Pours a clear gold on tap with little to no head or lace. Aroma of slight biscuit malt and earth, but really faint on both. Taste is pretty solid, an overly hopped pils, lingering bitterness. No mouth, carbonation you want just isnít there. Meh.

Pours a clear yellow with virtually no lace or carbonation. Aroma has the faintest hint of malt and it tastes like a classic Pilsner with a touch more bitterness than is typical for this beer style.

Clear golden yellow with a bright white head. Grassy hops with a hint of pepper and nuttiness, and a gentle bready malt backbone. Light body, creamy mouthfeel, lively carbonation and a crisp finish.

A bready, yeasty malt and noble hops notes of grass and peach. Very smooth and drinkable and fairly traditional.

As Chatoe Rogue Good Chit Pilsner, older bottle tasted at Delirium Hoppy Loft. Very stable and lacing, yellowish white, moussy head, cloudy ochre blonde colour. Aroma of a lot of ínobleí hops, grass, white pepper, orange zest, unripe peach, bread, apple peel, hint of limoncello. Malt fruitiness in the mouth, bits of apple and pear, soft grainy and bready middle phase with powdery yeastiness increasing in the end, where a long, drying, grassy and peppery hop bitterness manifests itself. Very interesting interpretation of Pilsener but unfiltered, so from a purely technical point of view, this seems closer to a Keller- or perhaps even Landbier.
