COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Formerly Chatoe Rogue Good Chit Pilsner.
Good Chit Pilsner is made with Rogue Farm barley that we Floor-Malted in small batches. Floor Malting is an old fashioned, 8 day process that includes steeping, germination, raking, roasting, bagging and hands-on love 24 hours a day. "Chit" refers to the start of the rootlets that emerge from the embryo of the kernel once steeping is complete and germination begins.

Poured into a pilsener glass. A solid three fingers of head on top a hazy, golden body. It’s beautiful with the bubbles coming up. It smells like wet barley, like a field just rained on. Biting bitterness up front that holds on to the end. A balance of sweet malt comes in but can’t hold up to the hops. Really good flavor, impossible to ignore. Crisp and medium body, moderate carbonation. An excellent pilsner that you can’t go wrong with.

Malty pilsner, with more hops than usual for the style. Results in some sort of an IPA with a thin body. Decent.

22 picked up tonight at the Boise COOP.. The pour is beautiful... very pale golden/yellow... great 2-3 finger white head shows tons of lacing and retention. Nose shows a decent Czech style pils with a pronounced pale malt and a slightly spicy/maybe even flora hop note.. but there is far too much DMS in the nose.. pretty corny with warmth.... I enjoyed it much more when cold. Flavor has a good malt balanced by a decent hop bitterness... the hops form mid palate and finish a bit lite. Again there is an offputting corniness that I am getting that lingers and lingers.. Body and carbonation are both close to perfect.... but when it warms up, the corn comes out... drink it cold.. otherwise, it is getting close to a drain pour for me. I would be amazed if a lager yeast was used on this one... it seems more like a "steam" yeast that got too warm.

From 22oz bottle to shaker. Pour is a wheaty yellow, medium white head. Nose is earthy, bready, slight hop. Taste is light bitter. Finishes a little carbonated but complimenting. Not too bad.

Excellent pils that pours a deep yellow color with a thick and sticky white head. The head leaves some great lacing around the inside of the glass. The nose is full of hops, yeast, grain, straw and very lightly toasted bread. The body is full for a pilsener and very smooth and drinkable. The flavors are crisp, delicious and balanced with notes of spicy and floral hops, yeast, grains, earth, bread and tea leaves. The finish is smooth and balanced. Great pilsener!

Subtle aromas of floral and grassy hops, some honey. Pale gold with a mostly fading white head. Nutty, grassy, earthy, clean hop bitterness as it finishes. Light bodied, refreshing, and abrupt.

Thought I would try something different. I am not a pilsner fan, but loved the bottle and name. It was fine for the style, just not for me. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
