Teku/shaker glass. Burnt orange/dark amber with big, light brown head, which lasts for pretty long. Medium lacing. At first strong malty - caramel and bread notes, some sweet notes. Low aromas of piney notes, some dark fruit in the background. The taste is very malty and sweet, there are some burnt/roasted malts noticable. Strong carmelized malts backbone. Everything is quite, but not perfect balanced with hoppy bitterness. The taste is Low to medium fresh, grassy and piney hop notes with some low floral accent. The aftertaste is definetely medium bitter with some burnt flavors and tangy character (rye malts ?). Medium body and medium carbonation. Sticky and smooth texture. Finish is dry and sticky. No alcohol warmth. In overall definetely solid malty beer. There is quite noticable strong bitter hoppy character. There is lack of knocking down hoppy aromas, which are characteristic for AIPAs. The thing could be the problem of time. It came a long way from the US to Poland via Amsterdam, so it could has strong influance on the taste and aroma.

This APA poured a semi-cloudy amber color with a modest off-white head. The head left a nice amount of sticky lacing around the inside of the glass. The nose was a little too malty and sweet for my liking, as were the flavors. The hops were bitter, dry and very abrasive. I got plenty of grapefruit and orange flavor, along with some bread and yeast. Just too much sweet caramel and bready malts.

Single from the LCBO with a 6.5% ABV written on a sticker. Pours a hazy deep amber colour with a frothy-creamy yellow-beige coloured head, great retention and full sticky lace. Aromas are quite fruity with a blend of the grapefruit, orange, pine, grass and some malts, caramel, dark fruits notes. You can taste that these hops are homegrown, as they are fresh and grassy. A nice mild bitterness holds all the way and becomes a stronger in the aftertaste with some burnt malts and hints of wood. For those who like a grassy-bitter pale ale that feels fresh. Hops from the backyard.

From 22oz bottle to shaker. Pour is a deep orange with a thick foamy off white head. Nose is huge hop, floral notes, earthy, piney. Taste is spicy, medium body that’s bitter. Sweetness from fruits showing at times. Finishes crisp.

Aroma is a rich maltiness with some caramel and roastiness. Taste is a very rich maltiness that is sweet and met with a balanced hopiness. Colour is a dark amber with some haziness. Head retains very well. There is some tangy character at the end.

Keg at Draft House. Hazy bright red / brown, slightly sparkling, big foamy beige head. Spiderweb lacing. Aroma - spicey rye, caramel. Body is medium, quite smooth, carbonation is low for a keg beer. Taste - sweet buttery malts, rye, lemon, touch of spearmint. Finishes a little astringent. Description doesn’t mention rye, but it tastes like a rye beer to me. Good.

65cl bottle Appearance: hazy dark reddish copper colour with a good creamy offwhite heafd, good retention and while concaves in the center the lacing is very quite good. Aroma: caramelised malts, honey Pine, Grapefruit comming from the hops, with a good solid caramelised malts backbone. Taste: Sweet Honey and a of caramel malty sweetness but with some hoppy fruity bitterness in the finish.sweet dry sticky finish. Medium body, medium carbonation. Very easy to drink but with a good amount of taste I can see this being a huge succes in the summer.

The appearance has a ruddy orange to brown colored body with a one and a half fingered white foamy head that concaves a bit in the center and leaves some thick clingy lacing. The smell has some caramel malts up front, and then some honey and pine and citrus coming in on the back end. The taste is mainly sweet through the strong caramel and honey notes, but the aftertaste is a combined orange/tangerine/caramel sweetness, sweet dry sticky finish. The palate is about a medium, tries to show a sessionable quality but somehow I seem to want to sip this more. Carbonation runs kinda smooth for an APA, but still good. Overall, I think this may be a Summer beer and I think this is from last year, however, from last year, and it held up to this long. Well, Good job to Rogue for making a Summer last this long, I can only imagine what its like fresh. I’d like to have this fresh if I had it again.
