Copper pour with a thick and fluffy white head. Aroma is piney hops. Earthy malt flavor with more of the piney hops with a medium sweetness and hoppy, resinous mouthfeel. Some lingering sticky caramel sweetness.

22 ounce bomber. I’ve had the other GYO Rogue beers and been sufficiently impressed. Pours a bright copper color with a gigantic tan head that lasts for days. Beautiful lacing too. Wonderful hops in the aroma but there’s caramel and malt there as well. So far so good. First taste is a flavor explosion, with pineapple up front and tons of malt lurking in the background. As you palate acclimates you’ll get more and more of the malt, sweet ceral and caramel goodness. Kind of like Honey Nut Cheerios. The hops yeild terrific bitterness (in a good way) to a spicy finish. Wonderfully slick mouthfeel and incredibly easy to drink. This beer is surprising, and not at all what I was expecting. That’s a good thing. Probably my favorite of the Chatoe Rogue series. Very well done.

22oz bottle in a shaker. Pours copper colored with a cream-colored head. Aroma strong of toasted malts and some indistinct hops. Flavor of toasted malts, with some nuts, before the hop finish kicks in. A lingering finish, but a pretty thin beer. Nice for the summer.

From a bottle poured an amber color with a fair amount of head. Soapy hoppy flavor with a lingering aftertaste.

Firmly clouded deep amber-orange colour. Medium tinted head. Nose: un-peeled oranges, sour mash, yeast. Taste: Yeast and hops immediately jump out. The hops seem to have a roasted taste...is it the malt wrapping itself around them? Buttery texture and evident in the taste. Late syrah wine leads to a pleasently bitter finish with deeply roasted malt and fading caramel. Its evident that this one is superbly crafted but it just didn’t completely meld enough for me to rank it among the elite.

Bomber. Lasting half inch of foam atop a copper body. Nose of mixed berries and granola, with some hints of citrus and resin. Flavor is very fruity also, with berries, molasses, and citrus. A drying finish of earthy green herbs and slight resin. Medium body is sweetish, but balanced by a nice touch of astringency.

Very nice malty start with a nice hop balance. I love the idea and am glad those of us on the East coast can get these fine ales. Keep them coming Rogue

Pours a medium deep amber with good size head and strong lacing. A strong malty caramel aroma with resinous and grassy hops in the background. Taste has a strong bitterness soothing into a mildly sweet malt profile that is quite excellent. Actually much tastier than I originally thought. Leaves a sticky resinous very bitter finish. Decent stuff!
