Pours a hazy orange amber color with no head. Spicy, fruity aroma with a matching falvor. Kind of an odd flavor. Not sure what to make of it. Kind of disappointing.

On draft at Hoptomic 2011. Thanks to the crew at Pourhouse for this one. Pours orange amber with a white head. Nose is some malt, with grapefruit, some sharp citrus bite, hints of floral and earthy hops. Flavor is similar with a medium body and lingering hops.

big hoppy aroma, light roast, big aroma... murky apple cider look with nice sustained off white head... great retention... a little toasty, malty, lightly sweet behind loads of hops, decent beer but not amazing...

FROTHINGSLOSH (4895) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 19, 2011
Sampled on draft at D’s in Monroeville this beer poured an amber-brown color with a large beige head that lingered. The aroma was very faint lemon and caramel. The flavor was very faint sour and tangy lemon and caramel - very muted and almost watery. Short finish. Light to medium body. Not a whole lot going on here. This one managed to disappoint me despite having low expectations.

Deep amber, slight haze, lasting white head is quite creamy. Attractive. Aroma is caramel malt with a hint of floral and earthy hops. Flavor is a match, with a rather big malt profile that evokes a touch of raisin - rather like a barleywine in many ways. Hops are muted, but pleasant, with a clear balancing bitterness on the finish. Nice stuff, and without a doubt completely not an APA.

Bottle. Hazy orange pour with a light white head and spotty lacing. Faint citrus hops with some honey and ginger and a lot of caramel plus that typical Pacman yeast flavor you get in all Rogue brews. Too malty and muted for my tastes, but an okay beer.

VTHopHead (1511) - Barre, Vermont, USA - JUN 4, 2011
Bottle/22oz - Pours a quite dark amber in color with ruby coloring if held to the light. Big foamy head that settled to a thin covering over the beer. Aroma is big with pine resin hops and much less of caramel malts. Flavor is very hoppy and quite bitter. while I like it, it is not that unique or different than any other IPA, which it should be classified as...

glennmastrange (2240) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - JUN 2, 2011
Bottle. Moderate malt aromas of roasted and caramel, light pine and dough for the hops and yeast with hints of date and butter. Head is small, wispy, off-white with some lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is hazy amber/orange. Flavor starts slightly sweet, moderately acidic and lightly bitter, then finishes moderately to heavily bitter. Palate is medium, watery with a lively carbonation. The malt profile stands right out in the aroma and flavor in this excellent American Pale Ale.

My bottle [650ml] shared with HogTownHarry, jerc & mabel. Pours a murky orange-copper with an average size lasting frothy off-white head. Aroma has lots of resiny hops along with caramel malt and biscuity notes. Flavour: Whoa, I didn’t expect that, it’s almost Barley Wine-ish: Again, lots of resiny hops along with caramel malt and fruit and a dry, bitter finish -- simple but pleasant. Average to medium bodied. Pretty good, not what I expected but I liked it.
