3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours rusty orange with a big, creamy off-white head. Aroma of orange, grapefruit, rye, dirt, toffee, char, and slight peppery grassy quality. Flavor of begins with deep grapefruit and caramel followed by earth, toast, wood, slight char, and pepper. Finishes with more grapefruit and wood, with some gentler biscuit flavors and an earthy bitterness that sticks. Medium bodied, creamy, no heat, and yet still easy to drink. I think the bitterness is heavier than 40 IBUs leads on, but oh well. Good beer.

Pour from a 22oz bomber. Orange amber brew with frothy off white head, stong head retnetion and lacing. Aroma dominated by malt and aromatic, spicey hops. Taste is a fine blend of sweet malts balanced against spicy fragrant hops. SOlid bitterness with great complexity and character. A world class brew.

Chatoe Rogue OREgasmic Ale is a cloudy orange/amber with a dense yellowish head that thins to a film and leaves really nice lacing. It has a faint, slightly sweet, hoppy aroma with notes of grass, pineapple and orange. It’s medium bodied and very smooth with a crisp, dry finish that leaves the tongue a touch chalky. It tastes slightly dry and pretty bitter. There’s lots of orange peel flavor and it’s very nicely balanced. It’s an enjoyable, solid pale ale.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Firmly clouded deep amber-orange colour. Medium tinted head. Nose: un-peeled oranges, sour mash, yeast. Taste: Yeast and hops immediately jump out. The hops seem to have a roasted taste...is it the malt wrapping itself around them? Buttery texture and evident in the taste. Late syrah wine leads to a pleasently bitter finish with deeply roasted malt and fading caramel. Its evident that this one is superbly crafted but it just didn’t completely meld enough for me to rank it among the elite.

Copper pour with a thick and fluffy white head. Aroma is piney hops. Earthy malt flavor with more of the piney hops with a medium sweetness and hoppy, resinous mouthfeel. Some lingering sticky caramel sweetness.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a cloudy rusty orange. Caramel citrus aroma along with some toffee and toasty malt. Flavor profile is a sweet orange citrus followed by a hoppy pine aftertaste. Overall, fairly drinkable but not that exciting to me. Almost bordering on an IPA in flavor and aroma.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Poured out of bottle into tulip glass. The most beautiful looking ale I have ever seen. Opaque orange-rust color with 1/4 inch of head that held. Lots of bubbles on the pour.
My nose was at least a foot away when I poured it into the glass and I could distinctly smell the beer. Very bright with pear and citrus, grapefruit the most apparent, with some malt at the end.
Taste: Hops early, grapefruit and accompanied bitterness. Taste stays on the tongue long after.
Crisp and clean texture. Not very carbonated despite all the bubbles on the pour.
It took me a while to drink the bomber. I would be satisfied with 12oz in one sitting. The flavors are a bit too much after a few glasses for me.
