Formerly Chatoe Rogue Pumpkin Patch Ale.

The newest addition to the Chatoe Rogue series is Pumpkin Patch Ale, a beer made using fresh pumpkins grown in a patch that borders Rogue’s 42 acre hop yard. The pumpkins are picked, loaded into Rogue’s farm truck, driven immediately 77 miles to our brewery in Newport, quickly roasted, and pitched into the brew kettle to create a batch of Pumpkin Patch Ale.

[5234-20130419] 1pt6floz bottle. Light sweet spiced gourd fruit aroma has a touch of a peppermint hint. Slightly hazy, dark amber red body with a medium-lasting creamy off-white head. Bitter roasted meaty fruit flavour has a grainy spiced base. Medium-full body. Good, tasty if a little simple. (7/3+/7/3/13) 3.3

Pours hazy copper with a large creamy head. Nose shows cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves along with a soft but unmistakable pumpkin hit amongst sweet malty gingerbread notes. More spices as flavours along with very subtle pumpkin, gingerbread and some herbal astringency. Wouldn’t mind a longer-lasting sweet malty finish. Nonetheless, very enjoyable stuff. Nice creamy mouthfeel. Could be just a little thicker though.

P: Murky dark brown body with hints of orange. Big dense creamy tan froth that settles to a bubbly layer of creaminess. S: Aroma is killer! Fresh pumpkin pie with whipped cream. Roasted (real) pumpkin, nutmeg, brown sugar, allspice, clove, barley and notes of cream. T/M: Spice forward with a backsplash of delicious roasted pumpkin and toasted salted pumpkin seeds. Gingerbread cookies grace the palette once warmed. Medium-full body with gentle prickly carbonation. Finish is creamy and smooth with a dose of spiced hops and pumpkin seeds. O: Fantastic pumpkin ale! This is full flavored not diluted and has real pumpkin flavor. This is the best pumpkin ale I have has the pleasure of drinking. Hats off to Rogue for this masterpiece. Cheer!

I don’t like pumpkin, but this is pretty good. 22oz. All I was a slight pumpkin flavor but not much else. No spices.

Bottle. Pours a clear earthy orange with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma is full of fall spices, a bit of pumpkin and a sweet bread backbone. Flavor has a pumpkin pie like note throughout with a bit of earthiness underlying.

Some retention and zero lacing. Strong aroma of pumpkin and mild spices. Strong pumpkin notes upfront. Spices kick-in with nutmeg in the finish. Pretty good pumpkin beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle poured into a shaker. From notes. Pumpkin pie spices with an added flair of a little ginger. Interesting to say the least. A little more watery than I like. Enjoyable but nothing to seek out

Bottle. Finally opening this after storing it in fridge since Halloween. Pours a deep translucent amber with a thick dirty orange head and very faint lacing. Nice allspice and pumpkin aroma. Taste is very much as expected. Pumpkin, spice and cinnamon undertones. Gonna let the other half of the bottle warm up bit before drinking to taste the difference. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
