COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Formerly Chatoe Rogue Pumpkin Patch Ale.

The newest addition to the Chatoe Rogue series is Pumpkin Patch Ale, a beer made using fresh pumpkins grown in a patch that borders Rogue’s 42 acre hop yard. The pumpkins are picked, loaded into Rogue’s farm truck, driven immediately 77 miles to our brewery in Newport, quickly roasted, and pitched into the brew kettle to create a batch of Pumpkin Patch Ale.

Faint pumpkin pie smell. Large off white head. Faint pie spices on taste with finish of strong pumpkin. Delicious pumpkin beer.

Bottle. Pours a very dark amber with very little head. Huge amount of pumpkin and spices in the nose. Too spicy for me - not a fan of this style.

Deep, dark, amber with a fluffy eggshell head. Aroma of pumpkin and spice and sweet malt. Maybe some light grassy hops. Rich pumpkin pie taste, but not too much. On the heavier side of medium bodied and well carbonated. Nice.

Pours a hazy brown with a creamy, long lasting off-white head. Sweet aroma of pumpkin pie spice and fresh pumpkins. The flavor is sweet, but not overly so. Light spices are balanced nicely. Good body. Better than many I’ve had.

Bottle. Pours an orangish brown color with off white head. Clean, fresh pumpkin, caramel, spicy aroma. Crisp, refreshing pumpkin flavor. The pumpkin flavor in this beer seems to have a more fresh pumpkin flavor than most pumpkin beers I’ve had. Very good pumpkin beer.

Pours a very cloudy amber copper with thick frothy dark cream tinged head. Aroma is a mix of clove, nutmeg, brown sugar and pumpkin puree. Flavor is a mix of pumpkin puree, caramel, cereal, sweet potato. Body is light and creamy with active carbonation. Palate is a little chalky and sticks to the tongue.

Dark reddish brown color... Aroma of pumpkin spices and nutmeg... Flavor is rich in malts and spices, not terribly sweet, less brown sugar than I would've hoped... Decent at best ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

750 ml. Clear dark copper with an annoying five inch head. Despite this, an excellent nose of spicy pumpkin, earthy molasses, and a touch of orange vanilla. Flavor is sourish orange, molasses, fresh toasted grain, pumpkin and just a touch of nutmeg. Some hints of bubblegum and wheat also appear sporadically. Medium body is smooth, soft, and well-balanced by a nice finish of woody hop and earthy spice. Nice job of letting the toasted malt and pumpkin shine, and toning down the spices.
