3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 FlacoAlto (3153) - Tucson, USA - OCT 16, 2010
A solid, but not overly aggressive pour into my 25cl tulip glass still produces four-fingers of lightly tanned froth that leaves a touch of lacing on the sides of my glass. The beer is a bright, dark copper / red color that shows a brilliantly clear, red-stained, copper hue when held up to the light. The aroma smells of grapefruit zest and a hint of pine (much like Cascade hops), but finishes with a touch of soapy malt and grassy grain. The hop notes seem to have a touch of juniper to it at times, but the nose on this is fairly clean and perhaps a touch simplistic, but certainly enjoyable.
Again a Cascade hop like flavor is found here in my first sip. The beer is a touch warmer than cool and has a bit of a fizzy texture to it, but has a lightish body overall and is fairly quaffable. The finish has a light’ish, but still slightly biting, smooth bitterness to it and there is also a touch of menthol and pine like hop flavors mixed in that linger on the tongue as well. A touch of menthol adds some interest and there is a fair amount of biscuit like malt character underlying the more dominant hop character. More specifically the dominant character here is definitely the fruit hop character; it is most like Cascade, but does have a few more touches of lychee and perhaps some tangelo notes that Cascade doesn’t have and it is quite a bit smoother without the cattiness that Cascade often has.
A fairly simple beer in some respects, but this is actually a very nice drinking Pale Ale. I almost wish it was a bit bigger so that I could better zero in on the Dare(TM) Malt and the Revolution hops. I could see myself enjoying quite a few pints of this brew. My biggest gripe is that it is a bit over-carbonated, but luckily a few swirls of my glass can get rid of the excess carbonation.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20 craig220 (40) - Crofton, Maryland, USA - MAY 28, 2012
Aroma is slightly sweet mix of citrus, grapes, and pine. Poured a color that kind of looks like white grape juice and is a little cloudy with a small white head. Taste is a very faint citrus followed by a mild sweetness and the finish is bitter. Feels medium bodied and very bubbly. Pretty refreshing at the least.

from Erzbierschof - cloudy and bright blond-orange beer; long lasting bright white foam and a superb lacing; fresh grassy hoppiness with hints of orange peels; lively palate, moderate malt backbone, dry and bitter; a bit yeasty and with a long fruity and grassy, spicy finish
3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Skinnyviking (5712) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAY 25, 2012
Bottle. High creamy lasting white head. Hazy milky yellow body. Mild fruity apple pear aroma. Spicy peppery flavor with a good deal of hops bitterness. Low carbonation. Long aftertaste. Quite tasty and well balanced in spite of the relatively low alcohol level.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 mdnguyen (2) - Calgary, Alberta, CANADA - MAY 23, 2012 does not count
A hazy-golden colour with large white frothy head and good lacing that dissipates quickly. A strong hoppy floral note is followed by a grassy aroma. Lightly bitter initial flavours with a moderately lasting hoppy finish, medium body, with a thin and lively mouth feel.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 drowland (3891) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - MAY 20, 2012
5/20/12. 22oz bomber. Slightly hazed golden pour, almost orange, with a nice, thick khaki head that cuts in half but sticks and laces plenty. Malty, grainy aroma with just a touch of citrus in there with hints of corn. Dry, malty flavor that also shows a touch of bitterness, citrus, and something that reminds me of melon. Not bad.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 coldbrewky (1158) - Saugerties, New York, USA - MAY 20, 2012
Draft at R&H NYC. Consumed quickly in the increasing inferno that was Rattle n Hum yesterday afternoon. Overall this is a light bodied ale with few outstanding qualities. Nose is light malt and a tang of hop. Weak head. Its a bit fuller bodied than Bud and has more hops. While it is a logistical hurdle to grow your own barley and hops for such a widespread beer, marketing makes this beer seem taller and broader of chest than it actually is.

Draft at rattle with Linh. Pours an amber body with no head. Aroma is sweet malts but that’s really it. Mouthfeel is medium with notes of sweet malts, light hop profile and light fruit. Very plain overall.
