3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 tiggmtl (4516) - Vancouver, British Columbia, - AUG 4, 2010Pleasant malty aroma with some orange citrus and lightly spicy hop notes. Opaque golden body is topped by a decent white head that recedes quite rapidly to a thin but lasting cover. Flavour follows the nose. It’s pretty simple, and straight forward with moderate bitterness. Creamy texture and decent effervescence make for a very nice mouthfeel but overall this is a pretty middle of the road, quaffable pint. Tulip glass. Cellar temperature. Bottle purchased at Brewery Creek in July 2010.

Appearance has a slightly hazy golden straw color supporting a nice steady head leaving a nice curtain of lace. Smell has a nice floral hop aroma over the Dare malt. Taste having a bold, but not overassertive bitterness blending well with the sweetness of the malt. mouthfeel is medium with good carbonation. An easy drinking PNW ale.

Bottle from Mane Liquor. Piiss yellow pour with no head. Nose shows lemons and bread. Taste is doughy, biscuity, lemon focused. Light tart. Not my thing. Very easy going with sharp sweet bitterness. Meh

Smells like a baby. Laundry detergent. Not a hugely unpleasant smell at all but there is definitely something odd about drinking it. A hint of Longboard lager about it too. Odd yeast soapiness.

650mL bottle. Pours a pale straw colour with a small soapy head and a light doughy lemon like aroma. Tastes like they used a pilsner malt as well as a zesty/spicy lemon hop. Not bad but certainly not to my liking.
