2/8/14. On tap at Steel Magnolia’s. I was pleasantly surprised to find a rating there. Golden orange pour with a decent khaki head. Mildly fruity aroma, some breadiness, and I’m definitely getting Brett. Enjoyable, but not sure if intended? Okay flavor, not bitter, not very hoppy, mild fruitiness, Brett again. Not bad.

Draft. Deep copper with medium white head and nice lacing. Aroma of citrus (lemon) and caramel. Light body with disappointing hop bitterness based on aroma, caramel notes, and a slight bitter finish.

Tap from Lazy Dog. Pours a dark gold with a thin layer of cream colored head. Aroma of pine and slightly floral hops. Taste of hops and not much else.

Draft. This is one of those IPAs that comes off a bit too malty for my like that actually has a butter component to it. Taste had some flower and citrus notes, with a buttery maltiness. Not an infection buttery, just a heavy malt base that completely outweighs the hops.

On draught at Taco Mamacita. The beer pours a hazed orange color with a medium foamy off-white head that diminishes steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, hops and malt. Medium-bodied with a moderately bitter hops character and grapefruit and toasted malt flavors. The finish is hoppy with a citrus aftertaste. Decent overall.

Had this at north shore on tap. Good ipa. Had a good bitter hoppy taste. Not a bad ipa at all

Comes out of the tap a somewhat hazy and quite bubbly amber with a thick, fine-bubbled, pale wheat head. Strong aroma is quite hoppy and has a firm fruity tone, mainly grapefruit with hints of orange and lemon. Fiercely hoppy flavor is rather bitter and has a strong fruity undertone, grapefruit and Mandarin orange with a hint of banana, as well as a hint of yeast. Texture is smooth firm and fizzy, while finish has a hoppy, bitter tingle. Happy Carl Sagan Day!

growler. clear orange with a large fluffy white head. fresh peach and apricot nose with orange. really nice texture, almost oily, with smooth carbonation. the flavor is a mix of hops that aren’t overly bitter. nice floral tones. hanging on to some residual sugars. nice beer.
