COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A combination of CHAUCER'S Mead and Raspberry Wine, reminiscent of Melomel, a whole new world of mead appreciation has opened up. Raspberries explode from the glass with the heady aromas of spice and orange blossoms carried into the background from the mead. Less sweet than our regular mead, this wine finishes with a lingering crisp raspberry and honeysuckle impression.

Bottle, thanks to errl, for leaving this, pinkish color with sweet trix aroma, flavor of sweet honey comb and glue

Thanks to Errl for sharing this bottle. Pours a pink color. I get a lot of raspberries and honey notes, which go fairly well together. Nothing too exciting, but not bad.

(500ml bottle, courtesy of Errl) Pours a still clear rose body. Aroma of raspberries, honey, orange, herbs, and urine cake (reminded me of a truck stop bathroom as it warmed up to room temperature). Flavor of honey, raspberries, orange peel, and florals.

Clear light orange. Aroma is oversweet tangy raspberries, wax, and sugar. Flavor is pretty tart and cloying sweet, with some raspberry purée and some sort of dry-sweet honey. Not too shabby, but it’s got this weird waxy thing going on. And too cloying.

500 ml bottle from the Utah State Store on 3300 S. Pours a bright pink color with a slick body, some legs. The aroma is sweet raspberries for sure, some sugary honey and melon. The flavor is decent; sweet berries, heavy sugary honey, warm in the finish, but fairly drinkable. OK.

@Richmond/Williamsburg Gathering-500 ml bottle-pours no head and copper color. Aroma is bad fruit-tart apple. Taste is sugary fruit-tart apple/raspberry, medium malt. Taste is better than the aroma. Thanks Immy for the rating.

Richmond Summer Gathering. Scored during a wootoff, so it MUST be good, right? Nope.Clear reddish pinkish something. Flat as a board. Overdone raspberry nose, something plastic. Actually turned out to be fairly drinkable, but a pretty crappy mead overall.

Bottle shared by Immy at the 2008 Richmond Summer Gathering in Williamsburg. Thanks Tim! Clear pink-ish color. Pretty atrocious aroma of raspberry and plastic. Taste is a great improvement over the aroma with pleasant raspberry and honey notes. Full bodied.

500ml bottle, Thanks to Immy I think at Richmond Summer Gathering @ Williamsburg. Pours clear reddish in color with no head at all. Aroma of raspberry and sweet. Taste like cough syrupy and light raspberry with dry finish.

The aroma is tart and vinous with raspberries honey and yeast. The appearance is pink and still. The flavor is like the aroma with a high alcohol (it’s got legs). The palate is thin. Overall it’s not that good.
