JohnQPublic (201), Brooklyn, New York, USA Jul 19, 2008 Draft at the Southern Tier Brewpub (The Empty Pint). Poured a clear a light golden amber with a bit of a fizzy white head. Aroma is light, crisp malt. Taste is clean and light - bit of grainy, slightly biscuity malt with a very light grassy hop bitterness. Finish is clean, not much lingering flavor to speak of. Decent session beer.
VeloVampire (400), Parkdale, Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 10, 2008 On tap at the Empty Pint - poured clear deep golden, not really amber at all, with a frothy white head. Fruity, mineral green apple notes in the nose, and the flavour holds a pleasant light malt sweetness and mild hop bitterness in the finish. Solid, well-crafted all-malt lawnmower/fishing beer - nothing more, nothing less. Perhaps a golden/blonde ale? Seemed a bit light for an amber... schlomo (5), Agawam, Massachusetts, USA does not count Jul 20, 2008 Poured from bomber. Pure white head with tight white small bubbles that dissipated quickly. Moderate lacing. Smells fresh and non-complex. Not as hoppy or deep as other Southern Tier beers that I have sampled. I purchased this in Chautauqua County, NY. Supposed to be only for sale in this area. Can be found on draft in many of the local restaurants in the area. Good fresh simple drinking/summer beer. Bockyhorsey (2033), Mesa, Arizona, USA Jul 15, 2008 Bomber courtesy of cbkschubert. Corn and somewhat skunky aroma took me by surprise seeing bottle stated it was an amber ale. Yellow body with white head. Wet maled corn swill flavor that had a mediun bitter bite. Cool bottle with the big eagle on it. MrBeerFanatic (210), jamestown, New York, USA Jul 8, 2008 Pours a light amber with a fizzy white head. Has the aroma of citrus malts, caramel and hops. The flavor is of mostly grain with a hint of caramel, and fruit. This brew is made only a few miles from where I live in ole Jamestown. I’m glad to have tried it.
