From the barrel at Great British Beer Festival, day 3 on 6 August 2009. Orangey colour. 4.5% seems a rather low ABV for a traditional cider and it did seem rather thin. Tart and dryish but tannins are quite light. Seemed a bit underpowered all round. I wonder whether there was a problematic harvest here.

On tap at St Neots Beer Festival ’11. Bright cloudy orange. Gentle sweet aroma. Ttaste has a little fruit, otherwise it’s extremely dry. It’s almost as if things are not quite right here.

Cask (gravity) @ GBBF 09, Great British Beer Festival, Earls Court Exhibition Centre, London, England.
Unclear medium yellow color with virtually none head. Aroma is apple, wood - oak, bourbon - wine notes. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is flat. [20090806]

Cask at GBBF 2009. Thinnish cider. Some oddish tannin. Some tart apple juice. Not enough body.

@GBBF2009. Slightly hazy yellow colour, no head. Aroma is spicy, vanillaish, wooden and also rather sweet apples. Flavour is wood, apples, some earth and mild vanilla. Big wooden finish. Semidry palate.
