COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular. Also available bottle conditioned.
Potholer is an award winning golden ale. It is lively and refreshing with zesty fruit flavours, a rounded finish and bags of aroma. It is brewed using the best quality Maris Otter, Crystal and wheat malts and hopped with a blend of English whole hops.
Great for session drinking or as a complement to many foods.

Really nice golden ale. Refreshing and citrus-y. Would drink again. A bit above Butcombe if there’s a choice.

Bitter type beer with a malty and biscuity type character to it, not bad for a session

Bottle. Golden ale with a nice white head. A nice hoppy fruit aroma with a little lime and grapefruit and some slight cereal smells. Full of carbonation, making the drink quite smooth - some cereal malts, some pine, and some light citrus fruits. Finish is bitter and medium-dry. Quality sessionable beer.

August 17, 2012 - handpull at The Charles Dickens. Brassy gold pour with small but lasting solid creamy/frothy beige head. Taste is simple - wheat, honey and grass - no alcohol on the nose. Taste follows - nicely balance though. Average body, mild carbontation - a nice bit of dry bitterness in the fairly quick finish - not bad, if a bit dull.

Bottle. Golden amber with an off white head. Aromas are oranges and wheat with dusty yeast. Lemon with floral notes and apple. Flavours are sweet wheat and biscuit with tangy oranges and lemons. Grassy with some honey. Dry on the finish. Pretty good.

Bottle. Amber beer with a strongish head. The aroma is mildly hopped and watery toffee, and the flavour is quite bitter with a watery and toffee based dry finish. Overall a reasonable bitter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Gravicask at the Angel mini beer festival, Kelvedon. Slightly hazy gold beer. Little white head. Smooth, semi dry palate. Nicely balanced. Pale malt - dry. Fresh mild marmalade orange hops with a trace of grapefruit. There is a little honey somewhere as well. Semi dry finish. Not bad.
