One of my favorite country cask ales. Citrus, bread, spice, but not overly sweet. Creamy on the palate. Malty and bitter aftertaste.

Bottle. Golden amber with an off white head. Aromas are oranges and wheat with dusty yeast. Lemon with floral notes and apple. Flavours are sweet wheat and biscuit with tangy oranges and lemons. Grassy with some honey. Dry on the finish. Pretty good.

Bottle. Amber beer with a strongish head. The aroma is mildly hopped and watery toffee, and the flavour is quite bitter with a watery and toffee based dry finish. Overall a reasonable bitter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Gravicask at the Angel mini beer festival, Kelvedon. Slightly hazy gold beer. Little white head. Smooth, semi dry palate. Nicely balanced. Pale malt - dry. Fresh mild marmalade orange hops with a trace of grapefruit. There is a little honey somewhere as well. Semi dry finish. Not bad.

Half pint, from cask at St. Urhos Pub. White ring to the rim of the glass. Near-clear, amber coloured body. Moderate smell of leafy hops. Fruity hops with hints of resin in flavour. Spicy bitter endnotes. Over par for a golden ale (Helsinki, 06.02.2011).

Cask @Kitty´s. Poured amber color with a bubbly head. Simple citrus fruit aroma. Flavor is some citrus, also quite malty. Bit harsh, but not so much disturbing. Quite bitter finish. Drinkable, but not very interesting.

[500ml bottle, deli in Ullswater] Ambery golden colour with no real head to speak of, and no carbonation. Sits there in the glass not doing much. Bittersweet hop aroma, but unfortunately quite a thin mouthfeel on tasting. However, the flavour saves it from being a drain pour – vinous hops, similar to a Nelson Sauvin flavour, some citrus fruit and a touch of toffee [31122010]

Cask, freshly on, at Rifleman’s in Glastonbury. Aroma is floral hops; grass, moderate yeast levels. Appearance is thick white lacing, copper gold and quite murky. Taste is floral hops. sweet honey, eldeflower,. grass, straw and lyches. Nice and easy to session. Excellent spring sipper.
