2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 Lubiere (6988) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 22, 2005
Sampled at Rose’s Cafe Wellington Ottawa. Indeed a pale lager, pale straw coloured, with faint grassy aroma. Decent fresh malt in mouth, light cookie dough with some decent light hops, very good with Indian. Light to medium bodied.

Golden yellow body, small white head. Sweet aroma is mildly floral and cidery. Sweet flavour with muted floral hop bitterness and very slight fruity/cider notes. Average palate. Meh.

Light floral, grassy hops and sweet malt aroma. Clear golden body with decent white head that recedes to cover. Clean, sweet, fruity flavour with fair finishing bitterness. Light body with lively carbonation. Definitely good for cutting through the spice in a hot meal but sweetness does become a bit cloying if allowed to warm at all. Bottle sampled at Restaurant Jolee. Although I can’t share Collieman’s enthusiasm for the beer, the food at this place is excellent and quite affordable also.

This is hilarious! They package this as though it is straight off the plane from another country, complete with "foreign language" labelling, yet it is made in Ontario with no reference to a country of origin. Does anyone know the home base of "Cheetah International Brewers"? Is it just Ontario? Anyway, this is a pretty average pale lager, a little on the fruity side. Not bad.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 mabel (4405) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - APR 9, 2011
UPDATED: APR 10, 2011 [3655-20110323] 341mL bottle. Mild corn-like grains aroma. Clear, pale orange yellow body with a quick foamy white head. Generic grassy wheat grains flavour has hints of sweet corn. Medium body. Would likely complement the food here, wonderfully wafting over from the buffet... (4/3/5/3/8) 2.3

UPDATED: JAN 4, 2007 Told that this is made by the Tree folks in BC. Had a second bottle after a Brooklyn Pilsener and this one paled in comparison, still drinkable.
Single bottle from Willow Park.Heavy carbonation in a gold beer. Lasting fair bubbly white head. Light malt aroma. Decent malt flavour. Not bad at all. Interesting hop roughness and malt sweetness. Better than most "Indian-Food" beers available in Canada.

Gold and fizzy with a slight grainy aroma. Sweet, creamy taste with a little bitterness. Ordinary. Not sure why someone thought it was a good idea to ship this to the UK.

(Bottle) Sampled at the East Indian Company, Ottawa. Pours a small, white, quick dissipating head. The nose was mildly lactic as was the flavour. All in all this is a decent "Ontario Lager" with light tones of malt and grass. I am surprised by this beer...

Served at Indian Flavour(Atrium at Bay)
Aroma of corn and plastic, palest yellow, pouring a good sized, short lived white head. Very soft malt flavour, slight taste of hops too. Light bodied, thin, trace of bitterness. Ordinary, about as expected.
