collieman (192), montreal, Quebec, Canada Aug 3, 2005 Updated: Nov 5, 2005Wow, this pale lager might be the best one in the world. Not the best example, but the best in general. Pours a sandy pale yellow, high carbonation, whispy white head, quickly disapating, no lacing. Aroma is of clear 2 row malt, light bready ness, herbal note, a slight hit of mildly bitter hops, with undertones of grassyness, anise, raw grain, slight almosy honey sweetness, and some rosey hops. Aftertaste is very dry with a hit of sweet-maltyness. Not ANYTHING like the beers I got in india, Molson Dry {canadian} being the most avalible beer in the country, but REALY good with spicy food. Perfect light malt to cancle the spice. Lovley, just lovley. Avalible at RESTURANT JOLEE, on victoria, the best {and now the only} srilankan resturant in montreal. Cheers Dainas (1), California, USA does not count Jul 26, 2006 Not the best beer if you are a fan of anything from guinness to heineken...However if refreshing "hotweather" beers such as Corona or bottled Tecate are to your taste, this is the ultimate.
What makes this beer so incredible is its supurb drinkability; Its very very refreshing and rewarding, like a soda on a very hot day, yet there is absolutely no foreign elements or "watery cheapness" in its taste...
I’ve always hated "lighter taste" beers, lowenbrau dark being my ex fav, yet I really enjoyed this beer somehow.
CapFlu (3340), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Mar 24, 2005 (Bottle) Sampled at the East Indian Company, Ottawa. Pours a small, white, quick dissipating head. The nose was mildly lactic as was the flavour. All in all this is a decent "Ontario Lager" with light tones of malt and grass. I am surprised by this beer... Lubiere (3324), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Jul 22, 2005 Sampled at Rose’s Cafe Wellington Ottawa. Indeed a pale lager, pale straw coloured, with faint grassy aroma. Decent fresh malt in mouth, light cookie dough with some decent light hops, very good with Indian. Light to medium bodied. presario (2441), Calgary, Alberta, Canada Aug 10, 2006 Updated: Jan 4, 2007Told that this is made by the Tree folks in BC. Had a second bottle after a Brooklyn Pilsener and this one paled in comparison, still drinkable.
Single bottle from Willow Park.Heavy carbonation in a gold beer. Lasting fair bubbly white head. Light malt aroma. Decent malt flavour. Not bad at all. Interesting hop roughness and malt sweetness. Better than most "Indian-Food" beers available in Canada.
