Tap @ The Ginger Man. On Cask. Pulled a hazy light copper with a foamy white cask head. Light brown sugar aroma with some alcohol fumes. Sweet caramel flavor with an earthy bitter finish and taste of alcohol. Light to medium body. I really wasn’t happy with this beer.

Notes from 1st Buffalo Cask Ale Festival, 2008.12.06. Dark amber clear color with small head. Very good malty sweet aroma. Full bodied, sweet, almost syrupy malt flavor, similar to a Quadruppel. Nice lingering aftertaste and warming alcohol

Location: Tap at RnH, 4/17/10

Aroma: Nose of malts, fruit, dust, and grains
Appearance: Pours a hazy copper-orange color
Flavor: Taste is earth, fruit, dust, and some slightly off sour notes
Palate: The body is crisp with an alright mouthfeel
Overall Impression: This beer is decent, but there is something that is just a bit off in the flavor. Other then that, I don’t have much to say on it. The score would be a bit higher if it wasn’t for that "off" feel to the flavor.

Dickinsonbeer (5076) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - APR 22, 2010
Tap at RNH. Pours a hazy copper dull brownish gray with a thin head. Aroma is slight sour, aceto, funk, mold must and dank with earthtones, dirt, clay, fruity ester and too caramel and honey sweet. Flavor is sweet soy and sherry oxidation, a touch meaty, caramel, toffee, musty, dirty and slight aceto to clash with a body that is too sweet. Meh.

Draught at Rattle ’n Hum, New York
Hazy amber color. Light malt and cookies aroma. Good body, strong malt and caramel flavor, but also burning alcohol; vanilla oak touch; correct bitterness. It reminds me some Wheat Wine. Powerful but unimpressive.

On draft at Rattle n Hum. Pours a clear copper with a medium sized beige head. Aroma of tangy citrus hops, squash and butter. Taste is much the same as the aroma.

Dark orange amber color with no head. Aroma is rich, some faint bitterness, sweet fruit and grain. Flavor is similar with more mellon fruit flavors and some grain.

Cask @ Chelsea’s Brewing Co. in NYC this past weekend. Pours a dark amber brown body that is for the most part clear. The aroma is slight sharp alcohol, dark fruit, and something else. The flavor is the same, at the festival it is listed as 11.5% abv - and it hides it considerably well.

On tap at rattle and hum. For living so close to these guys, I really haven’t gotten around to try them out. Maybe I have a hard on for the style but serious this was awesome. Ultra mellow and musky. Loaded with alcohol which you can’t taste in the least. Toasty, doughy and sweet cereals. Slight funk (starfruit), dried out hops, and bubblegum. Mouthfeel is medium light.

riversideAK (4566) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - SEP 12, 2009
Chelsea imperial mild oddly boozy mild nose light oxidized noted, apples, earthy notes, touch floral, a little tartish sweetness, syrupy sweetness on nose corn. Cloudy stagnant amber orange pour, thin foam. Green apple cidery notes, broewn sugar, caramel, weird spice notes. Alcohol. Sweetish maybe too boozy. Lingering alcohol and grainy notes. 6 3 7 3 14
