On tap at the brewery after checking out the Frying Pan. Pour is very hazy... orange with a reddish tint. Taste is pretty plain, wheat and a faint tart fruitiness.. couldn’t really pinpoint blackberries. Not good at all.

At Spitzer ($6) (I did not buy this my friend did, even after I told her not to and then she proceeded to regret it afterward): Anyway, it pours a hazy amber peach color. Darker than would be expected. White thin head. Aroma of fruit. Blackberry not distinct. Kind of watery. Fruity. My friend thought it tasted like popcorn jellybeans. I don’t think she was that far off. Better than other blackberry beers I have had, but nothing exemplary.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Grandpa (327) - Verona, New York, USA - APR 26, 2007
A clear, dark amber brew with a small, quick fading head. The berry taste and aroma were both faint. My initial reactoin was a sour fruit taste in the front of the mouth followed by the hops. The hops overwhelmed the very subtle fruit.

Cloudy yellow beer with a thick white head. Aroma of raspberry, wheaty spice, bready yeastiness. A bit too sweet and thin-bodied. Not enough fruit and what is there is kind of candyish. Meh.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 rickgordon (3764) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - MAY 4, 2005
Draught at Chelsea Piers.
Cloudy yellow. Light creamy head. Fresh blackberry nose along with caramel pastilles. Incredibly light bodied. The blackberry tone is nice, and does not take over. A refreshing beer.
